Review: The woman that is in charge ( the supervisor ) called me back and notifyed me that I wasnt able to come back unless I paid $150 to get xrays. And then I spoke up and said that I was pregnant and I couldnt get an xray anyways . Well she was very rude when she told me that I was full of crap that they do xrays all the time on pregnant women. Well she went on to tell me that I needed to pay the amount if I wanted to be treated and so then I spoke up and said that she didnt need to be rude about it and then I hung up on her.Desired Settlement: I just think that if she cant be nice to people on the telephone then she should lose her job. Even the voicemail is very rude. Plus my husband had went there in the past and they were very rude with him and the dentist there, when he pulled his teeth exposed my husbands jaw bone. He had to go to the emergency room because he bled for 3 days after the procedure. I just think that they need to be more respectful . I realize that they are basically working for free, they shouldnt look down on us.

This patient was seen on May 13, 2011 for a digital panorex and exam. At that time she signed a consent form stating that if she did not show/cancelled her appointment under the Statues General Assembly State of VA, which allows only one panorex each 3 yr period she would be resposnible for the cost of the panorex x-ray. Every patient is made aware of this policy when they initiate treatment in this dental surgery office. [redacted] declined treatment after approval. She did not show for her appointment after she was approved by the state in May, 2011 to have all 3rd molars removed (all 4 wisdom teeth). We document all patients with detailed histories and appointment details. She called backed almost 2 years to the day, and stated she was now ready to have her teeth removed. She was told that she declined approved dental surgery 2 years ago and did not show for her assigned surgery time. She was told that the state will only pay for another panorex x-rayon May 13, 2014. She was told her treatment plan had expired, along with her x-ray. She stated she was pregnant and did not require an x-ray and she was not going to take one. She was told 90% of our patients are pregnant women and they all have to have x-rays to be approved by the state and we use a belly shield. That did not suit her. She was told under medical-legal law and VA state x-rays are mandatory and the teeth would not be approved without a digital panorex----that was it the laws are not negotiable. She was told twice she would have to pay the $150.00 fee per the document she signed and in compliance with the state regulations. She insisted she did not require x-rays and was not going to pay anything, as Medicaid is free and she is not obligated to pay anything. She was argumentative, at which point she hung up the phone. This patient is not allowed back in this clinic and subsequently will have to find another provider to remove her teeth.
