Review: On March 11th, 2014 I received an e-notice to go the websites client website. There I found a bill for 16.47, it was my first bill for the amount. I was a little suprised to realized that it was for services rendered 10 months earlier. They took ten months to bill me, and then I received a series of e-reminders over the next 2-4 days which could be taken as harrasing. The problem is that on March 12th I requested a new appointment for May via the online system, and they refused because I owed them money. I was told that this was office policy, and the fact that it was less than 20 dollars and the bill had just been issued didn't matter. After, going back and forth a couple times with an office person on Thursday and Friday I was told the office manager would call- She left me a message the next Wednesday reinterating the same; that it was office policy and that my balance was more than 90 days old. How can my balance be more than 90 days old if they have only just managed to bill me? They just absolutely refused to get this part, or to fix the problem. They also did not send a paper bill after I requested it. I am extremely fortunate that I didn't have an urgent need to see the doctor.Desired Settlement: I would like their policy changed so that it is based on the date they billed the client, and to recognize that if you bill some on March 11th, and it is now March 12th then their bill is not 90 days old.I would also suggest staff training on this matter.Additionally, I would suggest that a review be conducted to determine why it took ten months to bill me in the first place.
