Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: *** *** lies. 1) He did not respond immediately - he waited months until I called him back.2) The product was inappropriate for the application - he should not have used acrylic over oil based stain, without primer.3) He has had this problem many times before, without trying to improve his methods/tool/materials. Obviously, he doesn't give a damn about doing good work. He uses his past failures to justify the lack of a warranty. He is full of excuses, and short on performance.4) His "perfect record" with the Revdex.com goes back a whole years. I am not impressed with that track record, nor should it impress anyone else.5) He points to all the places where paint or stain is not peeling as if that matters. I do not grade on an average - if all the paint/stain doesn't adhere, then he did a poor job. If a boat hull is "Mostly" watertight, it doesn't mean that the hull is good. If a roof only leaks is a couple of places, that doesn't mean that the roof is good. This is not rocket science. Painting and staining does not require a four year degree. He does bad work, lies about it, and whines when there are complaints. Two previous staining jobs lasted a collective years (that's years per staining) and his work looks like hell after six months.I suspect that in a year or two, there will be a new company with a "perfectly" clean record, run by the same guy (*** ***) which will proceed to bilk customers out of perfectly good money for a crappy job. You can't fix ethics with a scolding - you either have them or you don't
Sincerely,
*** ***

Dear Revdex.com and [redacted],I am very sorry we were not able to resolve your complaint and you felt you needed to attack my company with the Revdex.com. [redacted] did tell me very clearly, he was going to attempt to ruin my perfect reputation with the Revdex.com.  This is very unfortunate because I run an...

outstanding business and I have never had a complaint before. I have tried to explain to [redacted] that we as a paint company cannot and do not warranty any water sitting areas or damage caused by water setting areas. [redacted] was aware of this when I came out to bid his home and his deck as I clearly explain to every customer.  When [redacted] contacted me on June 22, 2017 with his complaint, I immediately dropped everything to go to his home. We discussed the only place it was pealing was on the Flat surfaces of the deck or in other words only the water sitting areas. I explained to him that I could not give a warranty to the water sitting areas on the deck. He just got upset with me. So, I had him look around the deck and showed him every place the deck was pealing was only the areas the water will be sitting on the deck and that the rest of the deck looked amazing. [redacted] did not want to hear it. So, I contacted my Paint Rep of 26 years and he also explained to [redacted] that I did everything I was supposed to according to the product application and prep. [redacted] still did not want to hear it or be reasonable, as there was no reasoning with [redacted] at the time.  At that point, my rep. said we would cover the cost of the primer and the stain to fix the problem. I asked [redacted] several times what we could do to resolve the issue? I then offered him the materials to fix the few spots that was damaged by the water sitting on the deck. He then said to me, “ok I will take you up on the free product.”  I told him I would gladly bring it out to him. Then he changed his mind and said we will see how you like your perfect Revdex.com record ruined. I told him I was here to try and help him resolve this issue. He then said we have nothing more to talk about and told me to leave. I said, “I was sorry that we were unable to come to a resolution for this issue.”  I would just like to state to anyone reading this review we have had severe rain and hail damage in the spring of this year 2017.  As you can see in the photos provided that the deck looks amazing except for the water sitting areas.   The deck and paint on the home was finished in October of 2016. The house looks amazing as [redacted] stated in his complaint and the deck also looked amazing when we left last October before the harsh [redacted] winter and recent hail storms. I do not warranty water sitting areas, hail damage or harsh weather-related damages and I do not warranty decks or fences.  There is no painting company out there that will warranty these items.  I feel it was a shame we could not resolve this issue as I offered him free product and clearly asked him what we could do to resolve this issue.  I am a 5-star company and I stand behind my workmanship and the products I use.  We at Avery’s Painting have many happy customers who will gladly personally speak to anyone considering using my services.  l us why here...
