This course is designed to teach the students to learn medical coding I instructed them over and over that the course did not cover reimbursement issues which is part of the exam I also told them that there are additional resources they would need for their exam I did not tell anyone to "embellish" their resumeI gave the students exactly what they paid for which is a week course that teaches them medical coding I will be happy to speak with anyone regarding this issue

Hello To whom it may concern, the course is a medical coding instructional course The course is designed to train students on the process of medical coding for both hospitals and the outpatient community This course is weeks in length and teaches the fundamentals and guidelines of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding as well as some medical terminology and anatomy It is fully explained to the attendees that the course is to teach them to become medical coders It is also explained in detail that there are study guides that the students will need to study as the course teaches coding and not all components of the exam Also, the course is not designed to be a job placement avenue but, to prepare the students to become medical coders I have always given the students what they signed up for and did not falsely advertise anything regarding the course I will be happy to speak with anyone regarding this issue

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I understand that the course is not an avenue for job placement. However, during the course of the class it was made out to be like we would be able to contact you for help regarding where to look for jobs and even being able to come to your business to see how the coding is done. But when trying multiple times to you reach you with no response whatsoever it is kind of hard to get the help promised. With so much money invested in the class it is so discouraging when the help is not there. I feel like for the money paid to take the class there should have been more resources available to all students. Now that I am certified I have not been able to find a job and have not been able to get any help on things I can do differently to maybe up my chances of getting a job. I guess more than anything I am frustrated because I was expecting something and don't feel like I got what I paid for.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Heather never ever once told us we would have to purchase additional books for the reimbursement portion of the exam. EVER That is a lie.  She told us over and over again how she knew we would all pass the exam and would have multiple offers again and again. She promised. I even told her after all this that her class was not realistic.  She told a lady who sat behind me who went to her house for help with her resume to add a year to her resume  the lady refused to do that.  When the higher ed center was asked about the class they said it was the most complained about class there.  I know others have filed complaints and I do not understand how her false statements and lies can be tolerated. It's shameful.  Others said they would have warned me if I had asked prior to taking the class.  She misled and lied to every student in my class.  She cheated us out of money and time we will not get back.  We all just wanted a chance to better ourselves.  I know another classmate received a similar response from Heather as well.  Obviously this will not be resolved for the ones who have voiced their concerns over being mislead, lied to and deceived.  I just hope this does not happen to others  Regards,
