My elderly mother is being charged for this alert system that she does not have, I have notified the company with no solution.44.95 monthly.Automatic withdrawal of 44.95 x 4 monthsDesired Settlement4 months of service should be returnedBusiness Response /[redacted]/We have spoken on multiple occasions with both the actual customer and the customers daughter.Feb 17th - [redacted] called in saying that she wanted to cancel. We let her know that all she had to do was send back the equipment and we would cancel it right out. (unit was activated and checking in at this time.)Mar. 6th - Daughter called in asking why we were still charging her mothers account. We explained that we had spoken to [redacted] on Feb 17th and let her know of the conversation and explained what she had to do to cancel the account. (The unit was still activated and still checking in) On March 18th - we got a nasty call saying they did not have our unit and that they were going to chargeback everything to the bank and file with the Revdex.com. We tried to reason and again explained that all she had to do was send the unit back which was connected and checking in (in other words being used) and we would immediately cancel the account out and no more charges would happen. She hung up on us.Unfortunately due to the constant communication and the customers disregard for what she had signed up for we are unable to refund these amounts. If they send the unit back that we sent to her when she called us to sign up for services we will be glad to make arrangements with them.(We have recordings to back all of this up)Thank You,

Company contacted my mentally disabled brother in law and pressured him to by an alert that he doesn't need and cannot affordOn 3/17 this company called him. We have asked them to not call in the past. They called this time and he ordered the alert he does not need. He felt pressured and didn't understand that he could say no. He was billed on 3/19 and we got the phone number from his billing. The company said he can mark return to sender but I will need to do this when he receives. [redacted], my brother-in-law, does not understand how to do this. I asked the company to remove him from his call list. A company that preys on the disabled should be ashamed of themselves!Desired SettlementOnce the item is returned, I would like them to credit [redacted]'s account the entire $39.95 and I would like assurances that they will not contact him again.Business Response /[redacted]/Ms. [redacted],Medical Life Alarm is set up to help and protect seniors as well as provide valuable benefits that no other life alarm or medical alert company provide. I think you may have missed some of this story. Your brother in law was not called, he called us, he may have responded to one of our marketing campaigns. I've listened to the recording and there was absolutely no high pressure tactics used. That is something we do not and will not put up with. Had that been the case we would have terminated the sales rep that spoke with [redacted] immediately! I also listened to the recording of when you called in to our company to make us aware there was an issue. Your account was credited by [redacted] (the customer service rep you spoke with) on the 20th. It takes 3-5 days to return the funds to the card but you should see it any day now. We certainly do not prey on seniors, we service and monitor 1000's of seniors. If you look at our Revdex.com page you will notice that we have no other complaints. We believed that by issuing a refund to [redacted] account that this matter would have been solved and you would have been happy with how we handled. I deeply apologize for your experience with us and if there is anything that we can do for [redacted] it would be my pleasure to accommodate![redacted]CEO Medical Life Alarm, LLC

Telemarketers have called my elderly mother multiple times and convinced her to give her banking info My mother received multiple calls a day for many days from Telemarketers trying to get her to purchase their medical alert system. She currently has one but the woman continually tried to convince her to change companies by offering her cash incentives. My mother told them they would have to talk to me so they gave her a number for me to call. When I called the number, there was no ringtone only music. On Dec. 15, 2015 the telemarketer was able to talk my mother into giving her bank account number and routing number. Through the internet, I was able to locate the website for the company and called the main number. I was told that there was no record of my mother in their system but they would make note to watch for any transactions associated with my mother and stop them. I was told the rep would call me back with further info but have yet to get a call. Before I finished talking with the main office, I received a call from the telemarketing center. The man stated that he say they had a missed call from my number. I explained the situation to him and told him I had just talked to the main office and not to call back again. My mother received a call 2 days later from the same telemarketer who again told my mother to have me call. When I did, I got the music again so I called the main number to ask for a supervisor. I was told no one was available but that my mother would be removed from the call list. Within 30 minutes my mother received another call from the telemarketing center. I answered the phone and told the man the number was taken off the list. He continually asked me for the number which he had just called. This has caused me to have to close out my mother's checking account. It has also caused a great deal of stress for me and my medically and emotionally fragile elderly mother.Desired SettlementI want the business to stop calling my mother. I would also like for others to be able to see the complaint so they do not tolerate harassment Business Response Ms. [redacted], I apologize for the delayed response, but we just received this information via the Revdex.com due to some outdated information on our side. I can't tell for certain based on the information submitted to us, but it sounds like your mother may be getting calls from multiple call centers. If you have not already done so, I would encourage you to list your mother's home phone number of the national do not call registry. Sometimes it takes a few weeks, but the call centers should update their records and remove your mother's number from their call list. Information on how to accomplish this may be found here: https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspx

Don't recall doing business w this company, never received equipment, but monthly payments automatically deducted from my checking account.Noticed that monthly payments were being deducted from personal checking account of my elderly mother. Called the company and they said they delivered the device, but it was left on her doorstep in July, but to date, the device has never been plugged in for monitoring. My mom doesn't recall doing business with this company to authorizing payments from her checking account. The company refuses to refund her money because she is unable to return the equipment. But she never received it!The company admitted that the package did not need a signature and was left on the doorstep at 7 pm in July 2015.Desired SettlementMy mom wants the charges stopped and a full refund.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@healthcominc.comThank you for contacting our office regarding your mothers account. Her services were ordered and shipped on or around July 23rd. We did verify that the package was delivered as ordered, but you are correct that the system did not test it even though the monitoring services were active. We work hard to ensure consistency between our billing systems and our monitoring systems and try to contact customers quickly if we notice a lapse in monitoring activity. We apologize that in your mother's case we did not identify that discrepancy. Per your request, we have cancelled your mothers account and we are issuing a full refund. We [redacted] contact the carrier to issue a claim for the lost equipment. Please accept our apologies and thank you for contacting our office.
