In response to complaint ID#- On October 23, Ms [redacted] called in to notify us that there were unauthorized charges from Ventura Beach RV Resort on her credit cardWe took her information and stated we would call her back with our findingsAs it turns out, Ms [redacted] 's card was the last one used on a previous stay her family member Ms [redacted] had booked; she had used it to purchase a day pass over the July 4th holiday weekendUpon finding this error we immediately contacted her to let her know our error and that that we would be processing her refund immediately Her refund was processed back to her card in the amount of $

Complaint: 10876653 I am rejecting this response because: No one authorized to completely hand this matter has ever contacted me. I requested the manager/owner/corporate to contact me and no one has ever directly contacted me. My bank had to issue the funds to me. The problem is not the refund of the money. The issue is why the card information was stored without any written or verbal consent. A purchase of a day pass should not result in credit card information being stored with the ability for future use. I can understand vehicle inform and/or a name but payment information is a vast overreach. I believe this practice could possibly be the beginnings or some type of skimming. I noticed the charges but it is very reasonable that someone may not if the amount is small enough and those charges can add up if charged to multiple cards. I would like someone to look into this. [redacted]'s card was the last one used on a previous stay her family member Ms. [redacted] had booked; she had used it to purchase a day pass over the July 4th holiday weekend. Upon finding this error we immediately contacted her to let her know our error and that that we would be processing her refund immediately.  Her refund was processed back to her card in the amount of $328.20.
