Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted] ***

We are writing in response to your letter of June 20, We have reviewed the complaint and wish to respondWe believe that Ms [redacted] 's complaint is nothing more than a transparent effort to avoid paying a just and due obligationA review of our files has produced the enclosed correspondence supporting this purchase including a written sales confirmation, email correspondence and an invoice The enclosed documents clearly show that [redacted] ("***") purchased an advertisement in the [redacted] Hospital Guide on October 20, [redacted] sent and approved the advertising copy in early November (November 4th and 5th), ***'s advertising then appeared in the Guide as promised and they received a copy of the Guide and an invoice [redacted] still continues to refuse to pay for the advertising long after having had the benefit of their advertising appear in the publicationFurther on June 18, 2014, by email, [redacted] was apprised of the relevant facts that Ms [redacted] apparently chose to ignore while filing a complaint with your office and one with the Revdex.com Perhaps more egregious than ***'s refusal to pay this past due obligation is that Ms [redacted] lies doubled down by now resorting to making claims to the Attorney General of [redacted] in an attempt to legitimize ***'s failure to payHer claims are so far fetched on their face based on the enclosed documentation (which she was apprised of prior to filing her complaint) that we believe the Attorney General of [redacted] has an obligation to determine if Ms [redacted] has made statements designed solely to initiate an investigation of our companyThe complaint form states that Ms [redacted] declares "under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of [redacted] that the information contained in this complaint is true and accurate." Ms [redacted] clearly knew or had reason to know her claims were prior to filing her complaint Bogus claims such as Ms [redacted] 's clearly divert attention and resources away from investigating legitimate consumer complaints [redacted] is certainly entitled not to do business with our company in the future but Ms [redacted] is not entitled to put forward claims in an effort to avoid paying an obligation that unfairly damage our reputation and good will We are referring this matter to our attorneys for possible action against Ms [redacted] and [redacted] and we are reserving all legal rights, claims and defenses that we may possess under applicable law Please contact me if I can be of further assistance in this matterI can be reached at ###-###-####

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
We have no issue with paying legitimate bills We did not receive the invoice (even after responding to two phone calls) until it was emailed on 6/17/ No ad copy or directory cover was attached to the invoice as stated on the invoice I asked for a copy of the ad I was then provided a link to the online directory There was an ad but it is of our old logo This is when I vaguely remember someone trying to collect on a similar invoice the previous year (devu) Too many red flags (see below)
When asked, the principal who supposedly placed the ad emailed me, "I have specifically NOT approved this! Don't pay it." (6/17, 2:pm) At that point (6/2:pm), I emailed the contact (***), asking for him to remove us from their marketing list and discontinue their illegal tactics of placing ads without approval and then attempting to collect payment I also said I would be reporting this to the ATG's office and the Revdex.com No response I then did just that before leaving for the day
The next day, *** sent an email stating I must be confused and then forwarded email communication between our principal and their company While I agree that they have emails that look like they are from us, the emails have no language re go/no go anywhere or even a conversation back & forth There are attachments of an alleged sales confirmation & a spec sheet The "confirmation" actually looks like junk mail thanking the principal for his participation The email that should have the artwork did not include an attachment So even then there were red flags I felt no need to discontinue my complaints and left all the documentation with our principal
I did not have any information at the time of the claim (6/17) that would make me question whether I was correct I had given all the information to our principal to check his email for anything he might know.
On 7/I received a scathing letter from the publisher of the Medical Directory accusing me of making claims, statements, bogus claims and even of perjury Said would be referring the whole thing to their attorney I spoke with our principal and forwarded the letter to him
Principal says to just pay it and make it go away We will not be working with this company in the future
Red flag # 1: *** called me in April (?) asking for
payment for ad from October 2013. No invoice, no payment.
#2: *** left message in May (?). Returned call
Receptionist couldn’t tell me the name of the company. Left
message, need invoice.
#3: No reply. *** called in June (16th, 17th (?). Told him I
left message but no response, still no invoice
#4: 6/- *** emailed invoice dated March (not October as he stated before) was correct address, yet never received (he said it was sent more than once)
#5: No copy of ad or directory cover attached as specified on invoice
#6: Vaguely remember something like this the previous year
#7: *** sent link to ad (online directory) when I asked Is
there, although it is the “old” logo
#8: Emailed principal. He said he most definitely did NOT
place an ad
#9: Amount of invoice is just under the IRS requirement
for a which is $
#10: Emailed *** to remove us from list and cease with the unscrupulous marketing
tactics or will be reporting him to Revdex.com and ATG office. No response
I then placed a complaint with Revdex.com and ATG.
Next day, received emails from *** showing our artwork mock up
(again the old logo), two emails to principal (one with ad specs &
deadline, other saying artwork attached, yet no artwork attached, no
wording re go/no go) Printed and gave to principal
#11: While there was correspondence, it wasn’t
definitive. Also, received after filing the complaint
Received letter from Company through ATG office re suing
me. Forwarded to ***

*** *** Publisher

We are writing in response to your letter of June 20, We have reviewed the complaint and wish to respond
" letter-spacing: -0.2pt;">We believe that Ms[redacted]'s complaint is nothing more than a transparent effort to avoid paying a just and due obligationA review of our files has produced the enclosed correspondence supporting this purchase including a written sales confirmation, email correspondence and an invoice
The enclosed documents clearly show that [redacted] ("[redacted]") purchased an advertisement in the [redacted] Hospital Guide on October 20, [redacted] sent and approved the advertising copy in early November (November 4th and 5th), [redacted]'s advertising then appeared in the Guide as promised and they received a copy of the Guide and an invoice[redacted] still continues to refuse to pay for the advertising long after having had the benefit of their advertising appear in the publicationFurther on June 18, 2014, by email, [redacted] was apprised of the relevant facts that Ms[redacted] apparently chose to ignore while filing a complaint with your office and one with the Revdex.com
Perhaps more egregious than [redacted]'s refusal to pay this past due obligation is that Ms[redacted] lies doubled down by now resorting to making claims to the Attorney General of [redacted] in an attempt to legitimize [redacted]'s failure to payHer claims are so far fetched on their face based on the enclosed documentation (which she was apprised of prior to filing her complaint) that we believe the Attorney General of [redacted] has an obligation to determine if Ms[redacted] has made statements designed solely to initiate an investigation of our companyThe complaint form states that Ms[redacted] declares "under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of [redacted] that the information contained in this complaint is true and accurate." Ms[redacted] clearly knew or had reason to know her claims were prior to filing her complaint
Bogus claims such as Ms[redacted]'s clearly divert attention and resources away from investigating legitimate consumer complaints[redacted] is certainly entitled not to do business with our company in the future but Ms[redacted] is not entitled to put forward claims in an effort to avoid paying an obligation that unfairly damage our reputation and good will
We are referring this matter to our attorneys for possible action against Ms[redacted] and [redacted] and we are reserving all legal rights, claims and defenses that we may possess under applicable law

Medical Publishing, LLC March 16, 2016
13.35pt;">BY FAX — [redacted] South Windsor, CT 06074 Re: File Number; [redacted] Consumer Name: [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted]: Medical Publishing, LLC ("MP") has received and reviewed your statement of concern; and write in response to your May 6, 2016 submission to the Revdex.com. In the interest of customer goodwill, Medical Publishing will cancel the Jays Landscaping advertisement from the 2016-2017 New England Hospital Guide. For the past 15 years, MP has published an annual Guide, an important and useful directory of New England's public and select private healthcare facilities, health department offices, and regional health agencies. Until 2011, the Guide was printed and mailed directly to facility administrators across the state. More recently (commencing with the 2012 edition), due to changes in the availability of and access to digital media, the Guide has been exclusively made available online [redacted] and in printable .pdf fbrmat for hospitals and healthcare facilities to download to suit their own needs. MP has and continues to provide the Guide to New England's healthcare administrators at no cost to any hospital, healthcare facility, or the state Department of Health. Healthcare administrators are free to distribute the Guide to others; and indeed, some facilities have made the Guide available on their own websites, so that everyone associated with the health system and the general public may benefit from it. To help underwrite the cost of preparing and distributing this free Guide, MP sells advertising. And it does so by offering its advertisers the ability to place ads in various targeted sections of the Guide, depending on their needs and interests, which is consistent with most similar directories that contain advertising. Accordingly, if a particular advertiser regularly does business in Connecticut, for example, then that advertiser may decide to place its ad in the advertising section of the Guide entitled "Architects, Engineers & Business Friends Working For The Future Of Hartford Hospital, Middlesex Hospital & University of Connecticut Health Center." Salespersons soliciting advertising on behalf of MP for the Guide are well-trained to accurately represent to potential clients the exact nature of the Guide. Following a script, they inform potential advertisers that the Guide is an online resource sent to healthcare administrators annually, that advertising in the Guide helps provide hospital systems and
healthcare facilities a valuable resource tool to use, and that placing advertisements in the Guide is a good way to get their name in front of healthcare administrators. When a business agrees to place an advertisement, no payment is taken up front. Rather, a confirmation letter is sent that again describes the Guide as a "valuable resource to hospitals and health agencies" through which the advertiser can "gain positive exposure." The confirmation letter confirms the section of the Guide in which the advertisement will be placed, along with the price. And it concludes by stating unequivocally that "Medical Publishing is not affiliated with any public or private agency, department or entity." It is only after receipt of this confirmation that the advertiser is asked to make payment. Like every other advertisement-based print or digital media publisher, we generate our sales leads from a wide variety of publicly-available information sources and selected proprietary information lists developed by and purchased from third parties. We also contact businesses in the community who have advertised with us previously, or who we believe may benefit from an advertisement before healthcare administrators. MP is proud the Guide is an important information tool for healthcare facilities in New England. We trust that this information is sufficient for your purposes. If you need anything further, please do not hesitate to let me know. [redacted] Publisher
