I am a current resident at one of the properties managed by The Martino Group, I would try and stay CLEAR of renting any properties of theirsI have had plenty of issues since I started a lease with them in February I will start with the property manager [redacted] Wood, she doesn't return any calls or emails why is she managing properties if she is clearly too busy to respond to her tenants?! The second thing that drives me crazy with them, you have to go onto their website and fill out anytime you have a repair request, you give them all your information (name, number, email and address of the property)...only to NEVER hear from them about your repair, there are PLENTY of times I have had to put in a request times and then still have to call and gripe at them because no one has come to fix itThey go about everything the CHEAPEST way possible and are SNEAKY, they renewed my month lease to a year....without writing up any new lease agreement, it was a single piece of paper and when my roommate and I noticed that it was a year after signing they told us oh you could have come to the office and went over the lease with us, oh you mean the original month lease we signed....not a year lease!!! The stuff wrong with our house definitely could get us out of our lease and they are too ignorant to care about itI definitely would try to steer clear of renting from them if you canTHEY SUCK AND DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS!

I've lived in several places in Denton, TX, and the Martino Group has so far been my best experienceI won't say they are a perfect property management group, because I'm not sure that exists in Denton, but they are pretty great I'm about to go into my third year living at a martino group property (The [redacted] ), and I've experienced many situations with them regarding maintenance and lease changes for my petsThe experiences were all positive I don't know anything about Cindy, except what I've read here, so I will say this: Ask for Roger when you're interested in leasingHe's used to a lot of people asking him to drive out to the properties when they aren't serious about renting, but once he sees genuine interest he'll get things done for youHe always returns calls, advocates for me in lease related situations and gave me a great deal on my pet rent (I have two cats, and they only charge me one pet rent)He always seems to have up to date information, he's never blown me off or lied to meI enjoy working with him, so my number one recommendation is probably to skip Cindy and go to him instead My Leasing Experience: My leasing experience was fairly goodThey don't have any "show rooms" of apartments, so they have to show you the apartment of a person who lives thereThis is a little bit awkward, but for the most part you can tell what the apartments are like and it gives you a chance to ask a current resident questions about their experienceThese residents are usually moving out soon, so they have nothing to lose by being honest with you even if the leasing agent is thereI got a great deal on my pet rent (see above)The paperwork process was very smooth with Roger, and he got everything ready for us in a timely mannerThe first day we got our keys, the keys didn't work because they gave us the wrong onesIt was a simple matter of exchanging the keys with them, and they were very apologetic about that so I definitely wasn't upset with them or feeling slighted My Living Experience: I have loved living here When I first moved in, we had a very SMALL bug problem (there are some other reviews which talk about crazy infestations so I just wanted to clarify)However, they sent out the exterminator within the week, and then regularly afterwardsWe haven't had a bug problem since then in the years that I've been living here, and I suspect it may have been caused by the previous tenants being messy (they got red cooking sauce on an electrical outlet somehow)We also had a problem with the AC not cooling our apartment very well; At first we were worried that it was because the windows and doors weren't sealed properly, but when maintenance came they discovered our AC was low on freonThey quickly added some more, and BOOM, problem solved Maintenance has ALWAYS been prompt to fix thingsIf maintenance was not prompt, it was because the form on the martino group's website for requests was broken (it stopped working a few months ago)However, if I email about it directly instead of using the only form, they are always on time and quick about fixing thingsThe maintenance guy who fixes things at my property is someone I always recognize, he's a nice older man and never complains about what needs to be doneHe's always done a good job of fixing things (I've had bad maintenance crews in the past) They send exterminators regularly (I think it's every other month or every three months? More often than the other Denton properties I've lived at) and if you have a bug problem, they'll send an exterminator out at your request as well with no charge to the tenant The properties are beautiful, updated with fresh paint when you move in as well as very nice carpet (this stuff cleans so easy, even if I spill water! I love this carpet, especially compared to the other denton properties I've lived at)I have polished cement (foundation) in the other parts of my apartment, and it is AWESOMEKeeps the place nice and cool, very easy to cleanThe appliances are nice and work very well, and the bathrooms are ~beautiful~ My least favorite part of living here is the costThe apartments are expensive, and tenants are responsible for replacing the AC filter and lightbulbsThey check every three months to make sure you have changed your AC filter, but they send you a notice before they come, so I just buy one at the store and then swap it out when the maintenance guy gets here (that way there's a fresh one in there and they won't tell me I need a new onewhen you have cats, it gets dirty fast)Our lightbulbs have been going out pretty quickly, but I think its because we've bought the incorrect bulbsWhen we first moved here, we didn't have that problem at all All in all, I think that the martino group is a pretty good choiceI haven't had any troubles with them, and I would reccomend them to friends and family
