Dear Ms***:In reference to the complaint number *** concerning customer *** ***, pleaseadvise that we have issued a full refund to the customer for his
subscription to the Medtech StartupsDatabase on 2/14/15.The customer asserted that the claims given on our website about the database were untrue, such asthat the database is updated with 5-new startups monthly and has many early stage and stealthstartupsIn fact, the average addition of startups per month has only two occasions in the past sevenyears been less than five per month, and is frequently more that ten per month (see***, each bullet item indicating an individual startupcompany)The client also asserted that the database does not have specific startup companies he notedas being in San Francisco, without mention of the name of these companies, the nature of thetechnologies under development at each or even if they are medtech companies as described on ourwebsite (see ***)A full a fair review by any objective party will readily conclude that our Medtech Startups Database isentirely as advertisedAs the database has been maintained and made available for over years, it istelling that this is the first complaint of any kind regarding the databaseIt is also worth noting that ourour online store, from which Mr*** purchase the database explicitly gives this policy:
Refund Policy: MedMarket Diligence print products are refundable if returned in salable condition within (thirty) days of purchase dateElectronic products (PDF, online database subscription) are non-refundable; clients are urged to review content on mediligence.com or contact MedMarket Diligence directly via phone or email in advance of purchase to ensure that electronic products will meet customer needsIn the interest of fairness, we find it thoroughly unacceptable that the client issued a complaint to Revdex.comwithout us receiving a single response from him by email or phoneThis business has been based onbeing responsive to customers and being sensitive to their interests and needsIt is for this reason thatour policy has been to carefully answer questions about content before purchase to ensure a fitMr.*** never contacted us before purchaseAlthough I certainly would have preferred to communicate with Mr*** directly, his inability tocommmricate with us and his predilection to instead file a complaint has resulted in a less than satisfactoryresult for all involvedI now consider the matter closedSincerely,

Review: I recently purchased a startup report database subscription for approximately $400. After subscribing, I was quite disappointed, as many of the claims made on the website about the database did not seem to be true. For example, the website claims that the database is updated with 5-10 new startups monthly, and has many early stage and stealth startups. However, a quick search within San Francisco, which is one of the largest cities for startups in the United States yields only 44 results, with the most recent one from 3 years ago. Many well known SF startups are not on the list, but a simple free Internet search will find these. I have emailed the owner twice asking for an explanation, with no response in a week. My emails regarding purchasing the database were returned in less than 24 hours. We ourselves are a cash strapped startup, and cannot afford to pay for expensive databases that do not perform as advertised.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund of the subscription. I do not need access to the database any more, as it is extremely out of date.
