Response to Complaint:
We are very sorry that the patient is not happy with her treatment.
As stated before the patient received one in a series of fractional laser treatments on 5-8-14, subsequently we documented a clinical improvement in her skin and decrease in discoloration (*** High definition Photo) on a follow up visit on 5-23-14. There was no "damage" to her skin at that time from the laser and it would not appear as a result of the laser treatment after that date
We would be more than happy to evaluate her skin and continue with treatment options at this point

Make your appt with Diane at Medspa 1064! I had laser hair removal and an IPL.Diane is so friendly, knowledgable, thorough and clean! I'm very pleased with my experience here!

Response to Complaint -
We at Medspa1064 strive to provide the best services possible with extensive discussions prior to each treatment setting realistic expectations.  The patient had an intensive skin consultation at no charge on 2-11-14 where different treatment options were discussed to decrease her sun damage.  Each consult includes a high definition digital photo to document the sun damage.   She had the [redacted] treatment on 5-8-14 which is fractionated technology to reduce sun damage.  Because it is fractionated it only covers about 20% and that is why multiple treatments are recommended.  This fractionated ability to treat the skin makes it safe, with less recovery time than traditional ablative lasers.  The consent that she signed for the [redacted] treatment clearly states that sunscreen must be used, that results are not guaranteed and that several treatments will be needed to achieve the desired results.  She returned for an evaluation on 5-23-14 and a repeat high definition photo was done which in fact clearly showed improvement in spite of the fact that we covered only 20% and she had one treatment out of a package of treatments.

The Esthetician seeing and treating her on 5-23-14 noted that there was improvement as well but was surprised when the patient said that she was not wearing sunscreen. It is part of the consult, education and post care instructions to wear sunscreen, both for preventing further sun damage and the fact that after a laser treatment the skin is more prone to further damage and increased pigment.  We followed up with phone calls and wanted to see the patient to guide her further, however she moved to [redacted] and we could not see her.  I was personally not aware that she was dissatisfied with her results until this report to the Revdex.com.  I can assure her that when she returns for a visit we will review her results and work with her to maintain and get her the best results possible.

I am rejecting this response because:

The statements made by this business are blatant lies. I have been on a strict skincare regimen that includes daily sunscreen since the age of 21. The statement made saying I didn't wear sunscreen after the procedure is a blatant lie. Also, there were not any phone calls made to me after the fact, this is also untrue. I understand that this treatment is typically done as a series, that was explained to me. However this series is to remove existing discoloration, not to fix new developments caused by the laser. The fact remains that the laser damaged my skin in a way that is going to cause further treatment to be necessary. New, dark spots appeared as a result.
I am willing to work with this company to come to a resolution however I respecfilly request that they deal in truth and discontinue lying in order to cover their missteps.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I received [redacted] laser services from MedSPA 1064 to reduce some minor pigmentation issues on my skin. After receiving the treatment I went to a post procedure facial where they evaluated my skin. I explained that there were some very large spots that surfaced after the treatment. The staff member told me these would "fall off" in the next few weeks. The marks did not fall off, in fact they got worse, and I contacted medspa 1064 3 times to ask what to do about this. I submitted pictures to them as well. They have yet to give me any advice or offer a refund for this service that made my skin much worse off than when I began and has caused significant damage to my skin.Desired Settlement: A refund of the full price as well as products shipped to me that will help to correct this situation where my skin has major marks on it that were not there at the beginning of the procedure.
