Dear Ms***, Please see the following information and our response to a complaint filed against our business on 9/26/ Also attached is a copy of a procedure consent ( [redacted] Consent) which was signed by the patient on the day of her procedure The company contact name for your records needs to be changed to [redacted] at [redacted] , ###-###-#### Regards, [redacted] Complaint ID#: [redacted] Complaintant: [redacted] (referred to as Patient) Company Name: Medspa Contact Name: [redacted] Company Contact Phone: ###-###-#### Company Email: [redacted] Response to Complaint - We at Medspastrive to provide the best services possible with extensive discussions prior to each treatment setting realistic expectations The patient had an intensive skin consultation at no charge on 2-11-where different treatment options were discussed to decrease her sun damage Each consult includes a high definition digital photo to document the sun damage She had the [redacted] treatment on 5-8-which is fractionated technology to reduce sun damage Because it is fractionated it only covers about 20% and that is why multiple treatments are recommended This fractionated ability to treat the skin makes it safe, with less recovery time than traditional ablative lasers The consent that she signed for the [redacted] treatment clearly states that sunscreen must be used, that results are not guaranteed and that several treatments will be needed to achieve the desired results She returned for an evaluation on 5-23-and a repeat high definition photo was done which in fact clearly showed improvement in spite of the fact that we covered only 20% and she had one treatment out of a package of treatments The Esthetician seeing and treating her on 5-23-noted that there was improvement as well but was surprised when the patient said that she was not wearing sunscreenIt is part of the consult, education and post care instructions to wear sunscreen, both for preventing further sun damage and the fact that after a laser treatment the skin is more prone to further damage and increased pigment We followed up with phone calls and wanted to see the patient to guide her further, however she moved to [redacted] and we could not see her I was personally not aware that she was dissatisfied with her results until this report to the Revdex.com I can assure her that when she returns for a visit we will review her results and work with her to maintain and get her the best results possible
