with anything other than excellent service, which we have been providing to our customers in Northern Nevada for almost 30 years. We have to establish what we feel is a reasonable time frame to allow returns, and we had a challenge with the item you wanted to return because it had been over 60 days, and we would have liked to know if something wasn't working for you within 30 days, even a phone call to us with your concern could have prepared us for a return that could not be made to us in 30 days for whatever reason. I am sorry if our policy wasn't clear enough, we have changed the header on the document to read "Refund / Exchange Policy" rather than simply "Refund Policy" even though exchanges are mentioned in the body of the original document. I believe we felt you were asking for an exchange and a refund on the item in question as the other item was priced lower than the item you wanted to return. We have not managed to stay in our business as long as we have by frustrating our customers, and I am sorry that we disappointed you George. I am not looking for a settlement at this point; I just want to inform future customers of Medtech's poor customer service. I never asked for a refund, only for an exchange. The fact that they changed their policy from "Refund" to "Refund/Exchange" is a clear indication that they recognized their mistake.

For the past 4 1/2 years I have been denied services from this company for no reason since I have [redacted] Insurance for wheelchair repairsand lift repairs and maintenance. I had paid for a repair on my vehicle when I first moved to Nevada in 2010. There was no problem. When I needed an issue diagnosed they refused to diagnose an issue w/ my lifts motor and have since then denied me wheelchair maintenance. Since they are one of the only places that repair adaptive equip and wheelchairs their attitude is unprofessional, uncaring and foolish. When I lived in Carson City my neighbors wee getting house calls by this company an none of them were injured on the job as I was, so they basically were catering to fraudsrather than someone who worked all over the country and delivered for the Military as well as having a professional degree. The attitude of [redacted] is grossly negligent and I don't agree w/ the policy of denying service to anyone.Product_Or_Service: Wheelchair repairDesired Settlement Allow me to get repairs for my wheelchair and lift when necessary, since I am a member of [redacted] and am in need of special services/needs at times.Business Response On 7/25/2011, almost four years ago, I reviewed the coverage guidelines for wheelchair repairs with [redacted], and at that time he reported to me that he was having issues with his doctor and having issues documenting the medical need for the equipment he owned, and was asking to have repaired. While I was attempting to explain how repairs may be covered, he hung up on me. On 7/26/2011, I spoke to [redacted], the doctor he asked me to speak to, to review the coverage guidelines for wheelchair repairs to see if the patient may qualify for repairs under his insurance, which was not the same insurance that had funded the equipment originally. Without the proper medical necessity and mandatory documentation, wheelchair repairs may not be covered by insurance. In December of 2011, I worked with the [redacted] Center to help [redacted], and we referred [redacted] to three other companies that provide wheelchair repairs. The coverage guidelines for wheelchair repairs indicate that the medical necessity for the device being repaired must be documented in order for a claim to be submitted. In regards to van repairs, in May of 2010 we repaired a limit switch and the door on his van, and he was satisfied with the repair. In December of 2010, he called over the holiday weekend and stated that a [redacted] dealer had been working on his van, and wanted [redacted] to look at an issue a signal from the remote. I noted that his van lift was in very poor condition and I offered to review with the manufacturer in regards to diagnostics and what could be done. [redacted] argued with me about the work and the diagnosis, even after I offered to help him review the issues with the manufacturer. I referred him to another vendor at that time, and he reported to me on 10/31/2011 that he had another vendor for his van lift work. In regards to the comments about his neighbors, I am not sure if he is referring to them as frauds or if he is making a libelous comment about my company.
