Dear [redacted]:
I received your correspondence dated March 23, 2015 today and am making our initial response within 10 days .
As noted in the letter, this student started her program with us over three years ago.  The account is delinquent due to non-payment by the student....

As she stated in her letter, she elected to stop payment on her accounts. Students receive an enrollment agreement which states the total cost of the program.  She chose to stop making payments.  Her total account balance is not paid in full.  Her last payment to this account occurred 4/29/13.  In early 2015, our company-wide efforts to collect on past due accounts were redoubled in effort to re-initiate payment plans and keep students accountable to the commitments they agreed to in writing.  To ensure the complainant is fully informed and has all the information needed; today I sent an email to her that contained her ledger card, account balance and provide my contact information should she need any further information.
I look forward to working with our customer and resolving this matter.
Sincerely,
Mark M
Campus President

I am writing in response to your January 11, 2016 correspondence to Medtech Institute in Silver Spring. Your correspondence summarizes a Customer Complaint from [redacted].

the Customer Statement of the Problem and will provide our campus response and Some clarifying information.[redacted] enrolled February 11, 2014, and was an active student from February 25, 2014 thru December 4, 2014 [redacted] successfully completed her program and graduated on December 4, 2014. Her last date of attendance was December 14, 2014 Her contact information is noted that her phone number is disconnected as of December 2014; and follow up attempts to reach her are noted in our Student Information System. She was provided career services preparation during the program and career search support after her graduation. Due to her lack of contact, her Student Account balance was send to a Collections Agency on or about January 26, 2015. This balance has not yet been paid in full.
One point to address regarding [redacted]'s summary of her issue is that we encourage students to attend the complimentary campus-based information boot camps AND to take the certification exams when they are ready and while still in attendance on campus. We introduce this topic in our admissions process, show the Certification Poster Board during the admissions tour, and highlight this during our Admissions/New Student Orientation presentation. This ensures that he program information provided is fresh and current in their minds. The best practice for successful students is to take the certification exam while still a student. The fact that [redacted] waited one year to take this exam may have contributed to her not passing this CXàIT1,
Additionally, students who complete the program and graduate are able to find employment. The certification exam is an extra credential that allows the graduate to have a transportable credential to show an employer. It is not a requirement for employment,
Like we do with all graduates, [redacted] has the ability to return to refresh skills or set up a review session with an [redacted] faculty member. [redacted] states that she attempted to call the campus and left three messages and presumably did not get a return call. While I find this hard to believe, since we are a highly customer service focused campus, if this is accurate, that is unfortunate and not acceptable by me. As Campus President, I expect our staff to be responsive and follow up with our students; while we have staff turnover periodically, myself and our campus director of education, and campus registrar have all been here during her tenure as a student and will make ourselves available. We are highly motivated for our students to take and pass these certification exams and will support that in any way we can.
We encourage her to come to the campus or call us at her earliest convenience. All my contact information is listed below.
