                [redacted]  [redacted] Dear [redacted]; I am in receipt of [redacted] complaint and have researched the circumstances.   On October [redacted] we responded to [redacted] service request  for a problem of no heat.  [redacted] explained that his condo complex experienced a brown-out several weeks earlier.  This electrical brown-out issue is what caused the blower motor to fail.  While this part is normally covered, we billed for the service because, as described under Limits of Liability in the Terms and Conditions of the service plan, the power interruption caused the failure.  [redacted] has been a customer in good standing for many years.  We will be happy to split the bill as he requested.  A credit of $462.00 will be issued to his account number [redacted]. Review: I had a service contract with Meenan Oil that included a free tune up. I contacted them in November to schedule this appointment. They gave me a hard time about making an appointment telling me I could not gt service until March. After speaking with a supervisor I got an appointment for January [redacted]. He informed me the depending on the weather the worker might not show up until late. I informed them that this was fine. No one showed up on January [redacted] or [redacted]. I contacted the company on the afternoon of the [redacted] the explain my dissatisfaction and reschedule an appointment. The appointment was rescheduled for January [redacted] between 8 and 12. No one showed up. My husband called the company who said no one was going coming because I do not have a contract with them. My service contract expires on January **. My husband spoke to company again and they said they will not honor the appointment or service the boiler because my oil delivery contract not my service contract with them expired,Desired Settlement: I want Meenan Oil to honor the contract and provide me with a tune-up.

We have been a customer of Meenan oil for over five year and there service has never been a problem, until now. Today we ran out of heating oil due the fact that the driver did not have a "clear Path" to deliver the oil. Meanwhile, gas was delivered across the street from us without incident in the same weather conditions. Additionally, no notification was made to us about the issue. I highly recommend people look elsewhere to get heating oil. On the coldest night of the year we run out of oil and they cant even guarantee when we will get an emergency supply. What a JOKE.

Review: Company over billed me in a delivery. They refuse to show me proof if delivered oil and basically told me there was nothing I could but pay the bill ie go to collections . Then after I closed account and paid bill and fired them . Now they call at 7 pm at night cause they want me back as a customer harrassing me. The week if June ** 2013 I had at least 13 calls from them and 6 voicemail messages askin me to call them back . They won't get lost. I feel bullied . This is America I can choose what oil co I want there not the only ones!Desired Settlement: An apology and a credit would be nice . But u doubt that will hsppen

Here is Meenan's response regarding complaint [redacted] from July *, 2013:

[redacted] has been a customer with Meenan since November 2010. Per her agreement with us she receives automatic oil deliveries. On February **, 2013 under her automatic delivery agreement, we made a delivery of 202 gallons. The previous delivery was in December 2012 for 83 gallons. If the delivery was not made in February, the oil tattle could have ran out of oil which is the reason for the automatic delivery agreement.

After the delivery was made [redacted] called upset about receiving an unexpected delivery. [redacted] then agreed to a discount on her delivery of $75. [redacted] is still responsible for balance of $466.44. [redacted] did not pay balance owed as she claimed in her complaint. [redacted] is accumulating late fees as the last payment was on May **, 2013.

The persistent phone calls to [redacted], are our attempt to settle the balance owed. The account has been closed but final payment is still owed. We would like for [redacted] to pay balance of $466.44 to close the matter.

THe oil tank would not run out of oil because I had more than a half of tank. The heat was running on the lowest setting because I fled to florida and was not using the heater .There liars. THEY DID NOT DELIVER THE AMOUNT THEY SAYD THEY DID. BECAUSE IN DOING SO THE TANK WOULD HAVE OVERFILLED . THE AMOUNT OF OIL THEY SO CALLED DELIVERED IS THE DISPUTE. I DONT CARE WHAT THEY SAY DEOVOERED IT WAS NOT ACCURATE. MY TANK WAS HALF FULL . AND NOONE WAS IN THE HOUSE USING IT. THERE LIARS. IN RESPONSE TO THE PHONE CALLS THEY WERE RUDE AND HARRASSING AND EVERY TIME I TOLD THEM THE BILL WAS IN A DISPUTE AFTER FORMALLY FILING A DISPUTE WITH THE PUC THEY WERE RUDE AND LAUGHED AND SAYD "YA GOOD LUCK WITH THAT PAY YOUR BILL THERES NOTHING U CAN DO ITS YOUR WORD AGAINST OURS LADY

Review: I have a service contract with meenan oil co which I paid over $400.00 my furnace stopped working I called them they told me that it was a blower motor. and it was not covered under the contract. I looked at my contract and it clearly says that they would replace the motor complete which includes all the components. Again they said because it is a variable speed blower it was not covered. this agreement is misleading because that is under the air handler and this motor does both. I got a bill for $923.31.Desired Settlement: I would like to resolve this issue I asked them to split the bill with me I also by fuel from them and been a customer for 13 years.

Review: I signed a one year contract with Meenan Oil in Oct. 2014. The contract ended on 11/**/2015.

On 11/**/2015, I called them and told them I do not want to renew the contract.

On Dec [redacted] I got a letter from them saying that I have to pay a $399 early termination fee! I called on Dec 28th and they told me I terminated the contract earlier than Nov [redacted] and I will be charged a EARLY TERMINATION FEE of $399!

BTW, after I signed up last year, I never received any form of contract in mail. It looks like Meenan oil can charge me any amount they like.Desired Settlement: Adjust the billing.

The early termination fee was billed because a scheduled delivery was refused in November 2015. We contact [redacted] on December **, 2015, in response to his complaint, and a resolution was reached.
