Review: Purchased product (lift chair) June 5, 2012. The chair broke due to mechanical issues and since the item is under the company's stated warranty for 1 year I have attempted to contact them several times beginning on May 17, 2013. The contact number provided on the product's packing slip ([redacted]) directed me to a message that requested I enter a code (my phone#) and then told me it was invalid. After failing at using that number multiple times I searched the internet for another contact method. The company's website is 'Under Construction' but I was able to find on a 3rd party distributors site warranty documentation that had a different phone number to contact Technical Service ([redacted]). I have called this number 24+ over 3 days, May 20-22. Each time, an automated message told me that all operators were currently busy but provided the following options to be redirected: 1) Sales; 2) Technical Service; 3) Customer Service; or to stay on the line to be directed to mailbox. I tried all 4 options multiple times. The 1st option, Sales, disconnected me with a 'Goodbye' message. The 2nd option, Technical Service, had a recording telling me that no one was available to assist and then disconnected me. The 4th option, of staying on the line, had me wait a few minutes then provided the 'Goodbye' hang up message. Now, the 3rd option, Customer Service, directed me to an employees personal voice mail. On May 20th, I left on this voice mail with a brief message describing the issue and mentioned that that it was an urgent need. I did receive a call back within 24 hours. I missed the call but the voice mail I received provided me with the same phone number to call back so it started the whole cycle again and I was not able to be put in contact with anyone at the company.
The product they are selling, a mechanical lift chair, is marketed to the elderly and individuals physically disabled From what I can assume, the majority of their client base is over the age of 70. I purchased this chair for my 85 year old grandmother. I do not know how my grandmother or many others around her age would be able to file a warranty request with this company, especially with the fact that I had to browse the internet just to find an alternative contact number.Desired Settlement: Repair or replacement stated under warranty. The functions of this chair, when it worked, was great in assisting in the well-being of my 85 year old grandmother.
