What do you mean by "the office ordered the carpet"?  The carpet I saw in the showroom was a sample.  The office ordered the carpet after I selected the color.
The invoice has your designer's name on it.  Did you or your designer initiate the purchase?  My designer knew the people at the store and brought me to them.  She and I both discussed different carpets and colors with them.  She gave them the information we all decided on the order.  They came to my house to measure and I was here directing them - not my designer.  My designer and I both had numerous conversations with them - specifically asking about the wear of the carpet in a heavily used room.
Was your credit card number given to the business by you or your designer?  I gave the credit card information to the business both times.  Not the designer.
Attached please find a copy of an email from the business to me directly asking me to confirm the order and only CCing my designer.  I responded directly to the store, thanking him. You will also see the I included my signature on the invoice approving the order.
I hope this clarifies for you that I am the customer and not the designer.
