Review: My wife bought her car in after failing a smog check to see what the problem was, first guy said it just a vacuum hose and was no big deal and would order the part from Toyota the next day. Then she asked if he would check the brakes and was told the brakes needed replacing. Next day comes to replace vacuum hose, and the services manager says its not the brakes it the alignment, then asked how much would it cost. So was quoted between $100.00 and $150.00 for the alignment, hose changed, and with a oil change and tire rotation. I bring wife to pick the car this night, and the bill is $295.00. Turns out the oil and filter was not changed ( old filter still in and oil was dirty)(have photos of oil filter and oil stick) also have photo of engine area, he would not show me the vacuum hose he said he replaced (because he threw it out and couldn't find it) drove the car and steering still was pulling left ( ask to see the computer print out of alignment sheet) he told me the machine was shut down, but said later that the alignment was done by the Firestone shop next to his shop. He admitted to forgetting to change to oil, and made excuses for the other repairs.Desired Settlement: Full refund 295.00 and a bad mark against the shop so is does not happen to someone else.

Review: I took my vehicle in to the business in question in the morning to have the brake pads and shoes replaced using the 50% off coupon I had. I was told it was the perfect time to bring it in. I waited for 2 to 4 hours with no call. I walked over to the business, and was told it wasn't yet looked at. I walked home and waited a few more hours. They called me and said my vehicle was very "tired." I went back, where they explained an amalgam of issues with my vehicle, racking the bill up higher and higher. I reiterated to them to just do the job that I asked for. They offered to top off my fluids for an additional $20. I agreed. I went back home and waited again. Finally, I get the call from the manager, saying that I was now leaking brake fluid. I had put brake fluid in a couple of months ago, and never witnessed any leaks in my parking spot at home. I now have to wait until Monday morning to find out whether they will charge me more, or, according to him, I will have to have the vehicle towed from their business. I now have no vehicle for work or to drop my child off to her mother's Monday morning. Please help me ASAP. I am a low income single parent at the mercy of this auto shop.Desired Settlement: There was no brake fluid leak prior to my bringing my vehicle to Meineke in Poway. there should not be one now, and my vehicle should be ready to drive out of there with no other issues or charges other than the price I was quoted which was $569, for the work that I requested on the vehicle, otherwise, I am requesting reimbursement or a refund.
