Meineke Car Care, #2514

On August 1 I went to this Meineke location to receive a diagnostic test for my air conditioning. When I walked in the shop there were signs posted of the various forms of payment this establishment accepts ***). I was not informed that any of these payment forms were not operating so I sat down and waited for my service to be complete. When I went to pay for the service with my *** card. The receptionist told me the transaction would not go through and they were having issues with *** and their machine. I called *** to have them manually submit and authorize the payment (I have a screenshot of this pending transaction). After seeing the payment post on my account I asked for my keys but the owner did not want to return them until he got off the phone with his merchant. I eventually received my keys and left. I received a phone call from receptionist 2 weeks later stating that their merchant is refusing to accept the payment that *** authorized. I called customer service to try to figure out a way for them to receive the *** payment. Since the call I received 2 calls from the owner Ali. He yelled at me during both calls although I asked him to have a conversation without yelling or speaking over me. After those calls he sent me 3 text messages saying that I need to pay him, he admitted that they accept *** but still threatened to take legal action. I confirmed with *** that the transaction was authorized and that they are just waiting for the merchant to accept the payment. If they would have informed me that they did not want *** prior to service, I would have taken my business elsewhere. They are trying to paint the picture that I received a service and walked away without paying, when they are just refusing to take the payment form that they advertise. It’s unfortunate that there’s false advertisement, a lack of customer service and accountability at this establishment.

I took my *** in for brakes in April of 2018. I dropped it off in the morning and they called me repeatedly throughout the day to tell me that they found something else wrong. First, it was rotors, then it was a tie rod end, which I declined the work. Lastly, it was a broken brake caliper. After paying $*** for brakes, rotors and 1 caliper, I took the car to get the inner toe rod end inspected. My mechanic stated there was no issues with the car, at all and took my car to get inspected for me.
I am 100% sure I was scammed and taken advantage of because I am a female.

On 03/20/2018 I took my vehicle to the meineke car center on *** for car repairs related to my car running hot and coolant leaking onto my engine. Mr A the meinke owner and his team preformed a pressure test on my vehicle and informed me that I needed to replace a part called the thermostat housing. Mr A and his team told me this part was needed to be replaced due to a hole causing my coolant to leak. I was then charged *** for the pressure test, *** for labor, and *** for the part. Since having the new part in place I have had the same issues with my car leaking coolant onto my engine, which I have proper documentation of the occurred problem and then reached out to mr A and his team. Mr Aland his team re evaluated my car 06/12/2018 and told me that they see another part leaking causing the issues and didn’t want to fix the problem for free. My concern as a paying customer was that I paid to have the issues on my car resolved and for whatever reason mr A and his team didn’t do their job effectively as professional shop workers to help me resolve my cars issues. Now I’m out of *** and my vehicle still has the same issues it had prior to coming to mr A and his team.
