These statements are not true1st they did try
to keep my receiptThere was no reason for him to take it away from me in the
first placeI almost had to climb over the counter to retrieve itAll they had to do is print one from the computer or look at their information on the
computerWhy would I need them to reprint one for meThat was my receipt Plus they were refusing
to release my carSince I had my keys, they could not stop me from leavingThey
never offered to replace the oil pan and plug at no charge to me nor would I have refuse to have them
repair it at no chargeYes they said they would have the parts on Wednesday and
would charge me $to repair the damage they causedYes, I had to return to
Atlanta by Friday to go to workI never said I was leaving right away Yes I had to have the pan and plug replaced
before I made that drive backYes I should be reimbursed for having to pay
another shop to repair itI no longer trust these guys with my car
Below is the phone message I received a from Katherine
Customer Relations Meineke Corp Headquarters 7/14/
Said she was able to talk to the Jay W*** at the Meineke
location that of concernHe said my vehicle had very high mileage (86,
miles is not very high miles) and it is common drain plug pan to come out after
so many oil changes..They would not accept any fault for thatThey offered to repair my car at a fair
price.(about $450) But I declined to
have it repaired at their facilityThey would not be issuing any kind of
compensation for repairs done somewhere elseThey handle their own concerns
They are independently ownedMeineke headquarters cannot over ride their
decisions on how they handle their deputes(I still have this message save on
my phone.)

I was informed about this issue with [redacted] vehicle on 7/1/2016. I spoke to the technician and the Mngr. They both felt that the problem was caused by wear and tear due to the age and mileage on the vehicle.Mr. W[redacted] did not refuse to give [redacted] her receipt back. He would have held on to...

her receipt until their business was completed, as he did. We could have done a reprint of her receipt from the computer at any point that she needed one.The technician that worked on [redacted]s vehicle is a thirty year plus A.S.E Master Technician. He is not in the habit of breaking some ones vehicle so that he can fix it! He has enough work to keep him quite busy repairing our customers vehicles.[redacted] was very upset the day she came back. I can understand that and I'm sorry about the problem she had. There seems to be several miscommunications that went on that day. First, we would not have kept her receipt. Second, Mr. W[redacted], to satisfy the customer, was going to replace her oil pan at no charge. [redacted] was told that it was 4:00 pm on Friday on the July 4th holiday weekend and that it was going to take several days to get that part. She stated that she would not wait. She was leaving for Atlanta. Third, she was asked to sign a paper that stated that she was informed that it was not safe to drive the vehicle to Atlanta with a faulty drain plug. The plug could have come out and the engine oil would have drained out locking up the motor. She declined, stating that she was leaving immediately for Atlanta.[redacted] stayed in Maryland and had the work done four days later by some other shop, when Meineke could have done this work for her at no charge, in the same time frame. That is unacceptable. I had the right to cure.Sincerely,Steve S[redacted]President
