My family just recently moved from Saratoga Springs, NY to Jacksonville, FL and I couldn't have done it without Dean at Broker BrothersDean really went above and beyond to get my car picked up on time, which was on the same day our movers cameThis allowed me to focus on moving my family and not worrying about whether or not my car would be in Jacksonville when we arrivedDean had my car washed and waiting for me upon our arrivalAgain...Dean at Broker Brothers is the guy to talk to if you need to move your car

Broker brothers did an awesome job transporting my carIt was a quick and stress free processThe owners seem very experiencedI highly recommend this transport company

We are seniors and retried now and have a 2nd home in Florida. Every winter for the last 5 years we have had issues with transport companies but
not this time. We where offered a round trip price and will be shipping our car back with Broker Brothers. We will spread the word to our neighbors and friends to use your company! Thank you once again Jade and Dean!! Talk to you next spring. FAST AND HONSET

I was given Broker Brothers as a reference for shipping my new 2016 Mercedes Benz (S [redacted] I could not be happier with their services. From the time the driver arrived (very polite and professional) to the time my car arrived in Tampa, Florida, the entire experience was superb. I would use them again and highly recommend them to you as well.

Moving my vehicle with Broker Brothers seamless and stress free. Dean was in contact with us through the whole process.

Dean of Broker Brothers was very helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I was very leary of shipping my vehicle but would recommend BB as they stayed in contact and made it happen!

I went in for an inspection, failed but not afforded the opportunity to fnd out what the issue was from the mechanic directly, who was right there.I went to Meineke on 12/24/15 for a state inspection at 8am (Invoice #XXXXX). After about 30 minutes the front desk attendant called me then said I failed because the lights did not work. I explained that they might not have had the key all the way in the ignition (my car starts with the key slightly out, but the lights, turn signal, radio, etc. may not work unless the key is all the way in). The guy at the front desk said the mechanic said it didn't come on. I explained the key was not all the way in again. He just kept repeating himself. At this point I caved and just asked to speak to the mechanic. I knew there wasn't a problem with my car, but if there was a slight possibility that there was an issue I need to know exactly what I need to do to fix the problem. I asked at least 8 times to speak to the mechanic and a got the run-around every single time. The guy at the front desk even became profane, saying, "[redacted]...I'm not trying to be a [redacted], but that's what the mechanic said." Now I'm beginning to get very livid. If there was even a problem, they wouldn't even tell me what it was so I can fix it, otherwise I would fail inspection at any shop. He just told me I could take my car elsewhere. I begin to drive off, then stopped and checked my lights. When I checked, ALL of them were working perfectly. I drove back and asked to speak to the mechanic again. There were maybe 2 other cars there, and all the mechanics were in the back of the building just talking. I could clearly see all of them and I'm sure they could hear me. I didn't walk through the bay just for safety purposes. One guy (not the one who checked my car) came and looked after I got the front desk attendant again and he saw that the lights worked fine. I explained, yet again, that the key has to be pushed all the way in. He went to talk to the mechanic in the back and the exact same message was relayed yet again. At this time, I am completely livid. The person I needed to speak to would still not come out and tell me what was wrong and I could see all the mechanics in the back doing nothing but talking and smoking a cigarette. I had to pay $23.75 for a wrongfully failed inspection and got absolutely no explanation on how and what I needed to fix. The print out from the shop said the lights weren't working but not in enough detail for someone who doesn't work on cars to understand. I left and went down the street to Jiffy Lube and had not problems whatsoever. To take it a step further, I sent in a complaint to Meineke's customer service. I just got off the phone with them today and the representative I spoke with, [redacted], said the shop said the same thing they told me. However, they still would tell me how to resolve the issue (even though I know there really wasn't an issue). She said we could call the shop and speak with them about the work they did, but no refund would be given. There's no point in talking to them if they are still stuck on the same responses and attitude from last week. I wasted my time and money going there. I wasted an hour of my time, got horrible customer service, horrible service, and spent $23.75 of my hard-earned money with absolutely no explanation of how to fix it after I asked SEVERAL times.Desired SettlementI would definitely like my money to be refunded, but if not I just want this on record that I was not provided the necessary services (or just an explanation in person with the person who was obviously standing right there).Business Response The customer's vehicle failed a NC State Inspection at our facility due to the fact that the headlights did not work at the time of the inspection. Apparently, based on the customer's comments, this is an issue that occurs under specific conditions involving the orientation of the key in the ignition. Unfortunately, this is still considered a fail in the eyes of the state inspector, since the vehicle has to pass the inspection based on inputs from an arbitrary operator of the vehicle, and not the owner. If an arbitrary driver who is unaware of the ignition issue described by the owner attempts to operate the vehicle at night and the headlights fail to work, as they did during the inspection, the issue presents a safety hazard according to NC DMV guidelines as interpreted by the inspector. The manager proceeded to inform the customer that he should consult the vehicle dealer for a solution to the headlight malfunction. While it is possible that the manager could have expressed himself in a more professional manner regarding the inspection result, he did not intend to be offensive and the customer's recollection of the manager's comments is inaccurate. In any case, it has been brought to the manager's attention and we apologize if the customer found his remarks offensive in any way.Although we feel no wrongdoing occurred on our part, we are willing to offer a free basic oil change for customer satisfaction only. The oil change is worth $31.12, including taxes and fees.

Complaint

Meineke shop #2084 damaged my car and couldn't fix it after returning five times. Finally got it fixed but Meineke refuses to offer a refund..On 3/10/2016 I took my 2012 Mazda 3 to Meineke shop #2084 for brake service. There was a steady, light scraping sound coming from the right rear wheel, as is typical of worn brake pads. The shop verified that the pads were worn and that the caliper needed replacing. They also suggested brake line replacement and rotor resurfacing, something that I knew I didn't need, but I let them resurface anyway. Total cost, $600.Within 12 hours of the work being finished, the car started making a terrible oscillating scraping noise, the kind of noise that indicates damaged brake rotors. So I took my car back to Meineke and asked them to check it out. I suggested that they had damaged the rotors during resurfacing, but they insisted that they had not. When I got the car back, the problem had not gone away. This happened FIVE TIMES. And they were never able to resolve the issue. Finally, after missing 5 days of work and having to rent cars while they were supposedly fixing mine, I took my car to the Mazda dealer. There it was conformed that Meineke had, in fact, damaged my rotors and they would need to be replaced. Since then the car runs great. That cost me $500.Now all I ask is a refund of part of the cost (just the $500) from Meineke and they steadfastly refuse. I feel I'm being very generous by not asking for more (e.g., cost of rental car, missed work, etc), after all, they caused the damage to my car, and have admitted it.I've tried several times to reach a solution. After more than two weeks, Meineke has offered to refund me that cost of the pads and resurfacing (the part that damaged my car) but no more. That's only $224, but they cost me at least $500 for their mistakes. They will not help with the damage they did, even though they admit to doing it.I have contacted Meineke corporate customer service, but they will not help, saying that it's up to the franchise owner. It is absolutely shameful.Desired SettlementA full refund of the bill from 3/10/2016 in the amount of $598Business Response We don't agree to the accusation of having damaged the customer's rotors, but we have to assume that the need for new brake rotors was not realized in a timely manner, thus a refund from Meineke for the brake work in question can be justified. If the need had been identified in a timely manner, we would have offered to install new brake rotors, with the customer paying the difference between resurfacing (the work already done) and replacing rotors at that time. The rotors would not have been free of charge..Please note that the invoice total of 598.00 also includes caliper replacement, brake fluid, a synthetic oil change and a new oil drain plug, none of which are related to the customer's complaint. The customer paid only 169.47 to Meineke for work related to the complaint, which includes brake pads, rotor resurfacing and brake labor. We already offered to refund this amount but the customer proceeded to decline. In addition to the refund, we offered a total of five free oil changes to compensate for the inconvenience of his warranty-related visits but the customer declined those as well (with the exception of one free oil change voucher, which he did accept).According to terms of the Meineke Nationwide Warranty, which are printed on the back of the customer's invoice, incidentals, such as rental car fees and lost work time are not covered. At the time of payment, the customer acknowledged and accepted these warranty terms. In conclusion, the customer is asking for an amount to include multiple independent purchases which are unrelated to his dissatisfaction. Not only did we already offer to provide a refund for services related to the complaint, but we made a further effort to go above and beyond the warranty by offering several free oil changes in an attempt to compensate for his inconvenience.Consumer Response I'll briefly comment on the May 23, 2016 post from Meineke.1. "We don't agree to the accusation of having damaged the customer's rotors," While they may not agree with the accusation, the fact is the rotors were true when I brought the car in, and warped when I got it back. If they didn't damage them, who did?2. "We already offered to refund this amount..." AFTER A COMPLAINT was made to Revdex.com they offered a fractional refund. And only on condition that I REMOVE THE COMPLAINT from the Revdex.com site. This is important. The only concession made prior to Revdex.com involvement was an offer of 5 free oil changes. 3. "The customer paid only 169.47 to Meineke for work related to the complaint..." This is simply not true. I paid $598 to have my car serviced, approximately $100 of which was for an oil change. The remaining $498 was for brake service. After completion of work at Meineke, the brakes were WORSE than before and Meineke was UNABLE TO correct them. Furthermore they CAUSED DAMAGE to my brake system. Thus I paid $498 for work that was not done to satisfaction, and I am asking for a refund. Most businesses would not demand payment for work that was not done correctly.Final Business Response 1. The customer's rotors should have been replaced instead of resurfaced to begin with. Therefore, we offered a refund for all parts and labor affected by the resurfacing operation.2. The refund of 169.47 was offered prior to Meineke's knowledge of the Revdex.com complaint and there were no attached conditions requiring the customer to remove any complaint.3. The customer paid Meineke 169.47 for work not done to his satisfaction: Synthetic Oil change 67.04Oil drain plug 4.99Rear caliper 199.99Brake fluid (for caliper install) 20.00Caliper labor 70.40Rear brake pads 52.49Resurface rear rotors 40.00Rear brake pad labor 61.60Charitable donation 0.83Shop supplies 39.00Sales tax 41.66Invoice Total 598.00Total not related to complaint (e.g. excl. brake pads, labor, resurfacing of rotors, relevant tax/fees): 428.53Difference (offered to customer):169.474. The customer is asking for an amount to include multiple independent purchases which are unrelated to his dissatisfaction. Not only did we already offer to provide a refund for services related to the complaint, but we made a further effort to go above and beyond the warranty by offering several free oil changes in an attempt to compensate for his inconvenience.

Repairs made totaling 1600 dollars. Has to be repaired again 3 months later. I took my truck to this location in April 2015. I was told my power steering pump needed to be replaced, totaling 600 dollars. When I got the truck back, it leaked fluid constantly and made a whining noise. I had the truck towed back to the same location 2 weeks later because my fuel pump went out. I figured they could address the power steering issue. Their answer was to just keep replacing the fluid. And the fuel pump fix cost 900+ dollars. After getting the fuel pump "fixed" my tank started leaking gasoline. I finally took my truck to a different shop, and they diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump pressure line as the leak and there is no seal between the gas tank and the truck itself. Now I have to pay to have these problems addressed again. I think the work done on my truck at this Meineke location is sub standard and disgraceful.Desired SettlementI would like to have a refund for this work. Business Response /[redacted]/The need for a new power steering pump was obvious due to the observance of fluid leaking onto the serpentine belt in the vicinity of the pump. This is documented on the customer's 4/8/15 invoice. When the customer returned on 4/29/15, it became clear that the power steering gear was also leaking. Leakage from the power steering gear was initially masked due to fluid from the pump dripping down onto the gear. At that time, we also confirmed that the power steering pump which we replaced on 4/8 was in good operating order and free of leaks. In any case, the problem with the gear is independent of the new pump and/or work done to replace it. Our recommendation to replace the gear on 4/29 was then declined by the customer. This is also documented on the invoice. If this is true that the customer had a fuel leak after repairs completed at our shop, the proper course of action would have been for the customer to call or return the vehicle to Meineke so that the warranty could be serviced. If another shop/mechanic already completed relevant repairs, this means the customer gave us no opportunity to service the warranty and the warranty has been voided. The explanation for how the Meineke warranty works is printed on the back of the customer's invoice and could have been reviewed over a phone call.Unfortunately, there is no justification for a refund due to: 1) the problem with the power steering gear being unrelated to the power steering pump we replaced, 2) the customer having voided his warranty on the fuel pump repair by neglecting to contact us prior and instead enlisting a shop/mechanic other than Meineke to perform would-be-warranty-work to address his concerns related to the fuel pump we replaced. If we had determined that the fuel leak was due to faulty labor or a defective part, we would have repaired the leak free of charge.
