Meineke Car Care Center

They say they take my vehicle insurance for repairs. But what they tell me what is wrong with my vehicle isn’t covered. Won’t diagnose/ fix the problem that is covered. Say it’s only the engine mount (not covered) but my transmission (covered) is fine. Even though it’s not.

Right out front of this Meineke Car care center is a sign that reads $12.99 for an oil change. However when you get your oil changed it's $27.52. This is obviously bait and switch and is JUST PLAIN WRONG!

On 9/18/19 at approx 12:30pm I took my vehicle to Meineke at 3332 N Oracle Road for a routine oil change. During the oil change and due to the negligence of an employee they dropped my truck while it was lifted and on the lift causing it to fall from in the air. There is damage internally, to the body, and possible further undercarriage damage that may be unseen at this point. The employees including the manager Ray refuse to provide owner information or information about who insures them. Ray, the manager, states that if I do not let them do the repairs then I need to proceed with taking them to court. I do not feel comfortable with my vehicle in their hands after what has occurred and the damage they have caused. I'm just asking them to do the right thing and repair the damages that were caused form this incident.

This location has a habit of telling customers they need repairs / tires when they don't. My daughter recently went there for an oil change and a flat repair and was told she needed new tires for $750 because a nail couldn't be repaired. We took it to several other garages and were told there were no issues making the repair and that the other Tech was simply trying to make extra money. Go anywhere except this place. They will only try to take advantage of you.

I brought my car to them to fix my ac, heater core, power steering pump, and an odd noise in under my hood. They told me all of that needed to be fixed plus the water pump was leaking and I needed a new timing chain. I was told 1 week to fix it. 3 weeks later I find out they were paid to replace the engine (from my insurance company) and most of the stuff listed. It took me over 1.5 months to get my car returned to me. I warned them that because of how I was treated and the shady practices I was having my car inspected after I got it because I did not believe they did anything. Long behold I was correct! The VIN on my engine block is the exact same one on everything else on my car. They did replace the power steering pump but it is leaking everywhere, also oil. On top of getting paid for repairs they did not do, they also lost my skid plate that holds the exhaust in place, left exposed wires hanging about (metal is actually showing), completely ruined both of my brand new tie rod boots. When I went to check on my car one time and saw their condition I did ask about it because it was alarming, I was told not to worry they would straighten back out when the car was put back together....yea no. The DM got mad at me at one point because I was tired of excuses and being lied to and told me he was now charging me 2 deductables!!! He did not in the end but that is only because I threatened him with the cops. He actually yelled at me telling me he does not appreciate being accused of fraud...ummm let me recap THEY COMMITTED FRAUD!!! The financial loss to myself and my business (this is my only car) is staggering and my car is not safe to drive at this point. The emotional toll this has taken on myself, my husband, our marriage is crazy. I have medical issues that are greatly exhasterbated by stress, and let me tell you the level of stress has kicked me into flairs that I have not had in years. They refused to give me paperwork and did not offer me to see any work they did (well did not do) when I got my car back, it took me a couple days to get very little paperwork and when I requested the rest for instance something about how long my car was there, new parts or used, the original paperwork when I 1st came in etc...I was told by the manager "I was told to give you this paperwork and tell you to have a good day, as of this moment on I have nothing to do with any of this". Ummmm well yes, yes you actually do!!! I even had to go back right after I got the car because it was missing the fuse box cover and the entire engine cover. I have a 07 Lexus ES350 that has been babied and taken VERY good care of, and now it is a broken junk pile! They ruined my warranty that I pay about $150 a month for. Corporate will not return my phone calls, probably because it is individually owned and operated however national news about this corporation might just change that. This list is endless. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Before anyone from Meineke responds to this and lies please be aware that most conversations were recorded as I told you I was doing. I have no idea what I am going to do until I get a new car, this can ruin my business...but I will get through this one way or another.I am in utter disbelief that this actually took place, I have even looked for ways that I am wrong and the other mechanics that inspected the car is wrong, but sadly it is all true. SHAME ON THEM for doing this to anyone.

This place closed without warning. I paid $288 for parts and install on my sons ***. The manager is wonderful- so I believe he would make effort to get my parts to me and eren make good on install that was paid for. I called many times to meineke corporate. The only people I was allowed to speak with were from a call center that didn't speak fluent english. Finally a woman returned a call to me that Meineke has NO LIABILITY in they money/services owed by the franchise.
