Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to *** ** ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
The owner of Meineke is not stating what the resolution will
be. When I spoke to *** *** in person
as he stated, I did not insist that his company fix the leaking alternator
bracket gasket. I brought the estimate
from the Independent BMW dealer to show him that what he said was fixed
actually was not, and to prove that additional done by his shop further exacerbated
the leaking in my vehicle and caused further problems. I also made him aware of the fact that I
needed to get my car fixed as soon as possible or it could interfere with my
extended warranty.
The reason I sent the certified letter was to avoid taking legal
action and possibly resolve this issue diplomatically. I did not want to involve a third party; I
simply wanted to come to an amicable resolve with *** *** personally. I was notified by the U.SPostal Service
that the letter was received by *** *** on Monday, April 14, and I
decided to give him hours to reply. It
was not until *** *** neglected to do so that I called the corporate office to
seek further assistance with this matter
I made the representative from the corporate office aware of
the fact that my car was in the shop, and I told her the name of the company
where it was located. Therefore, if Mr
Woods wanted to have the engine cleaned at his own expense he was more than
welcome to do so to verify the issues that he was refuting. I did not say that I was going to seek legal
action without speaking directly to *** *** first; but I did reiterate that
the corporate office’s representative that the problem needed to be fixed immediately to
avoid a forfeiture of my warrant.
Lastly, I would like to address what *** *** stated about
the repairs that were done in (2013). He
stated that the repairs were done solely based upon a previous estimate given by
an Independent BMW dealer. The sole
purpose of me bring my vehicle in to *** ***’ shop was to receive a second
opinion not to have a mechanic fix the items listed on another shops estimate. *** *** is well aware of the fact that no
matter what work he did he never fixed the original problem. As a customer I followed all instructions and
recommendations given to me by *** *** and still the vehicle had a leakI
have sent him pictures of the leak; called him in reference to the leak; he has
looked at my car at my home; and he even performed additional work on my
vehicle to alleviate the leaking and it did not stop the leak.
Just as before *** *** is now blaming the leak on a different issue and not taking any responsibility
The alternator bracket was not even leaking in according to the records
that I have from *** ***’ shop, so I am stunned at the fact that now he is
saying that alternator bracket gasket is what caused the leak from 2013. Mr
Woods is also aware of the fact that even after he originally worked on my vehicle
and all the time thereafter there has always been a leak. He has not once mentioned the alternator
bracket gasket was a possible cause of the leak. Now that he has seen it on the estimate provided
by the Independent BMW dealer he is now saying, “oh that’s the problem” and
frankly he is insulting my intelligence with such an accusation.
I would like to ask him
to place himself in my shoes and tell me how he would feel if he did all that
he could do as a customer and is out of $3k but still left with a leaking
vehicle. At this point I would just like
a resolution. Therefore my question to *** *** is where do
we go from here can I please get an offer so that we can bury the hatch in reference
to this matter.

Was with three friends late on a Friday night and was in a situation that required a tow. Called AAA and they dispatched Rescue Towing to the bad section of town that we were in. It was late and the streets were getting busy. [redacted], Rescue Towing, assessed the situation and was concerned about further damage to my car as it was sitting on it's frame. We both felt a flatbed truck would be better. He called his boss who had AAA dispatch a flatbed even though it meant Rescue wouldn't get money for the tow. Rescue has flatbed tow trucks but not for AAA to dispatch. While waiting for the flatbed, [redacted] received a call. When we explained our concern about him leaving us alone in the neighborhood we were in, he understood. He called his boss again and asked if his boss could take the tow call. He did so [redacted] could stay with us. We called Toledo Police but they weren't available to come. [redacted] figured a way to lift my car and maneuver it out of the predicament it was in without further damage to my car. He then cancelled the flatbed. We were all very thankful for both [redacted] and his boss's help and would recommend Rescue Towing to anyone in town. [redacted], his boss, and Rescue Towing were our heroes that night. They are honest and care for you and your vehicle!

RE: 2007 BMW 650- Oil Leak-2013
Dear [redacted], we received a certified letter concerning
your vehicle oil leak issues. We are looking forward to resolving your issue in
a diplomatic way. We also are very sorry you are unhappy with the services we performed
for you. However, we at Meineke # 4327 strives diligently to exceed our
customers expectation time after time through our great customer service,  quality repairs & services,  loaner cars &  shuttle rides home, and financing.
Per our last conversation in person, you came in with an
estimate from an Independent BMW dealer stating the valve covers and the
alternator bracket gasket were leaking. After careful observation, I did not
see any obvious signs of oil leaks coming from the valve cover; however; I did
notice an oil leak near the alternator that could appear that you have a leak
on the valve cover from the wind blowing the oil upstream while driving. I
explained to you my findings, and you insisted to us to repair the leak from a
totally different area at our expense (alternator bracket gasket a well known
problem with BMW 650 series as you stated to me from the independent BMW dealer)
and we declined to do so. The repairs and services we performed on your vehicle
were solely based on a BMW Dealer estimate (2013) you brought in for us to perform.
The estimate we saw from the BMW dealer (2013)
did not states any leaks from the alternator bracket, only the valve cover and
other issue with coolant system and transmission which was taken care of.
When you called in to Meineke Customer Service concerning
this matter, we had requested for you to take the vehicle to the mechanic of
your choice to have the engine cleaned and verified for oil leaks while myself
or one of my technician be present. If the leak is verified from where we
perform the repairs, we would pay to have the repairs done. Customer service
also requested a copy of the estimate from BMW dealer (2013) from you, and your
response to customer service,” I’m just going to have it fix and take legal
action” (third party).  Again, Sha'tina
Alridge, We are extending to you our readiness to remedy the situation if what
we performed is leaking.
Sincerely,

I called and set up a time to pick up my car and explained I would be at the location at a certain time. the driver called me and told me he could be there early and I explained that I wouldnt be able to be there untill that time. he said he would be there at that time. that time came around, I was there and waited 20 min. called the driver and the company owner or dispatcher sent him way out of the way on another pick up. he contacted the owner to see if they could send out another truck as he was still hauling the other pick up back, and I guess the owner never got back too him. the truck didnt get there untill and hour and 20 min. late. I do not blame the driver, he was very apologetic and professional, I blame the owner or dispatcher. I orderd this through my insurance company, and I will make sure I request antoher company if I need a tow again.
