11/12/ [redacted] came in for State & Emission Inspection on 10/31/ Customer's check engine light was on we did her emission test as is by state law The test came up as fail because of the temp sensor was bad that is why the check-engine light was on We then Inspected the car and found motor mounts broken that fails State Inspection We went over the price [redacted] agreed to do the workAfter work was finished we could not give the customer her stickers because after replacing any sensors due to check engine light being on customer need to rerun emission test Customer was explain about this and explained to customer was not miles knowing it would fail emissions (State only gives you free retest) We asked the customer you need to do miles more for the computer to restart itself We never said to the State give you one free retest! I tryed to call the customer 3X Customer does not answer the phone mail is full We ask the customer to leave the car with us so we can drive the car customer declined Xtimes Thank you, Meineke

Inspected the car and found 3 motor mounts broken that fails State Inspection.  We went over the price [redacted] agreed to do the work. After work was finished we could not give the customer her stickers because after replacing any sensors due to check engine light being on customer need to rerun emission test.  Customer was explain about this and explained to customer was not 75 miles knowing it would fail emissions.  (State only gives you 1 free retest)We asked the customer you need to do 35 miles more for the computer to restart itself.  We never said to the State give you one free retest!  I tryed to call the customer 3X  Customer does not answer the phone mail is full.  We ask the customer to leave the car with us so we can drive the car customer declined X2 times.  Thank you,Meineke

I have spoken with my insurance company. They paid for a rental car and repairs. I have attached copies of what the insurance sent me as proof. I am unsure of what Mr. [redacted] is upset about.

Review: Took a perfectly good running [redacted] to Meineke for a simple oil change. The oil change took a very long time and it appeared that they had problems finishing the oil change.

Car was barely driven and car needed additional oil about 3 weeks after the oil change which seemed odd but added two quarts of oil. However as the screw which retained the engine oil was not affixed properly the screw finally came out and resulted in complete engine damage.

As soon as a proper mechanic looked over the car I was informed that this was complete negligence and Meineke destroyed my car. I am seeking the total amount of cost for a new engine plus rental car costs.Desired Settlement: I am seeking for Meineke to pay the full repair costs due to to their gross negligence and error. I would also only like to be contacted by the Meineke store owner only.

Review: I took my van in after having it stolen and recovered. I asked them to do a complete inspection. I knew the front brakes were going to need to be changed and rotors as well. They called me and gave me a price to do the recommandations, they recommanded that they replace front brakes and rotors and just adjust the back ones because according to them the back brake pads were still good. I okayed this and picked up the van later that evening. My brakes are now squeeking horriably which they were not squeeking before I brought it in. I asked them why and they said give it a while to let the brakes wear down a lil. two weeks later still squeeking. called again and brought the van back in. Now they replace the front brake pads again. but that didnt solve the aqueeking with the back brakes. they really had no answer as to why my back brakes are still squeeking and when I called corporate they told them that they recommanded for me to replace the back brakes but I have the estimate and they never recommanded that to me.Desired Settlement: I asked them for a refund of 40.00 that I paid for them to adjust the brakes because I gave them 2 chances to fix the problem and it is still unresolved and now they are completely lieing about what was recommanded in the frist place.
