Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] First I never had personally called Mel's to get my carI could have as I stated had someone else take my car since I was not involved in a criminal offenseSo no reason for a tow, or storage feeNext I understand the [redacted] regulations limit storage at $a day in this exact situationThey did tell me $a day, as well as being very disrespectful, and rudeI was told even if I had my tags renewed I needed a tow, so no I didn't go get them then at that momentAs far as my driving record, I had just recently got my license back, and had not had them from almost yearsTrying to justify their actions by going back over years shows how low they will goThis company is a main reason for the economic problems many lower income individuals in our city faceTheir business tactics leave people unable to go to work, school, or other tasks needed to sustain the familiesMy brother can verify that they said under no circumstances could any other tow company or individual tow in the cityEach time I tried to retrieve my car, he gave a different excuse as to why, and he knows itThis company is not a good company to the people in [redacted] , the lower income people know itAn investigation I feel, is warranted at this time Regards, [redacted]

Well I am sorry that this issue cannot be resolvedI know what the facts are and have phone records and witnesses in my office that can verify that I did call and left a messageBy the way, I am a female so it would not have been left by my driverThe witness that saw my driver going to your location was a road worker that was putting up signs for the flooding because he asked my driver if he was lostI am not going to keep playing he said, she said as this matter would have been solved simply by them being there and paying my driverI have no further responses as I have nothing else to explainThank you!

Don't really care what sex the person is. I got no phone calls till Monday after the accident, I will turn this matter over to my lawyers as they have obviously been conducting business in this unethical manner for years, and have no intentions of changing now

Thank you for sending us *** *** complaintI am going to respond in the best way I know how under the circumstancesWe were called to an accident involving a tractor/trailer on March 2ndby the *** *** Department(not by *** Transportation)We arrived on the scene to
discover that a DOT officer was there inspecting the truckWe assisted the Officer in his inspection which took Several hoursThe truck driver and his boss were both at the sceneWe did agree to tow the tractor to their facility as it was red taggedWe also put the trailer in a parking lot for them to get with another tractorThey agreed to pay us upon our arrival with their tractor in *** ***I personally called and also verified that someone would be there to accept the tractor and to pay usThey told me they would pay us with a check and l gave them the total with taxI also told them that DOT released the vehicle about 12:to be towed and that we were hooking up and would be on our way and that it would take us an hour or so to get thereThe gentleman on the phone told me that they had some flooding in the area and that we might have to find an alternate routeWhen my driver got into *** *** he had talked to a street department man that guided him to their facilityHe got to their facility and their office had closed at 1:Why did they not tell me that they closed at 1:00? Our Driver walked around because he saw tow motors sitting out and also saw the Dodge truck that they had at the accident sceneI was actually on the phone with him as he walked around yelling "Hello" trying to find someoneI tried calling the same number that they answered and got an answering machineI left a message stating we were there and cannot find anyoneAfter waiting about minwe decided to bring the tractor back to our impoundHe actually passed the driver and trailer on the way back to our facilityWe assumed that someone would be calling to say they were there but that never happenedFinally on TuesMarch 6thThey called and wanted to know why we did not drop the tractor thereHe explained that no one was there and we could not receive payment as agreed upon and that he brought it back to our impoundThe gentleman on the phone did state that he thought his man would be there but also admitted that their office had closed at 1:00pm and that he would not have been able to pay usMy driver told him that he felt they were trying to get away with not paying us and that the only way we would bring it back down is if we get paid in full with a credit card as we already wasted an entire day on Friday as it wasHe also told him that our truck was busy on calls for the day and that they could send their own towing company up to get it, with the money if they wanted toLater in the day they called back and I gave them a total price for the accident tow, the tow back, storage and sales taxThe gentleman on the phone demanded that we bring his tractor down and told him that our truck was busy and gave them the a number for another towing company In their areaHe also told me that the towing company that he wanted to use had no insurance and therefore could not pick up the truckThe next thing I know is that I received the complaint from the Revdex.com and got slandered on social mediaEverything that has happened has been a result of their actions and we believe that they had no intentions of paying us when we got there as there office had actually closed at 1:I also since learned that they are not authorized as a for hire transportation company according to the *** *** *** which makes me question their motives even moreThe solution was simple.I am sorry tha* *** *** is not happy with the circumstances, but unfortunately we have been burned before. I also don’t understand why they waited until Tuesday to call us. This all could have been avoided if they had upheld their part of the agreementWe have no problem towing the tractor back down to them provided we get paid in full for everything that is owed up to this date and the tow back to there facility up frontWe are also requesting that we either get paid with a credit card or bank check due to the circumstancesI also find it ironic that all of the facts from the original complaint were so misconstrued and that I can get the Police report to show that and that they thought we would take the tractor an hour away and not get paid for the job that we had doneWe were nice enough to release the trailer to them to pickup as it wasIn closing I am sorry for the situation but we upheld our part of the agreement, they didn'tSincerely, Mel's Towing
