Review: I hired Melanie Rose Prince to photograph a "custom maternity and baby trifecta package" which consists of four photo sessions at various points in time before and after the birth of my new baby. She photographed three of the four sessions, and sent photos for two of the four sessions. When I emailed her (one time) and called her (left three messages after she did not pick up her phone), she never got back to me regarding the missing set of photos from the third session, or about scheduling the final session. I requested in my last phone message to her that she refund a portion of the money as stated in the signed contract, but again, she has not returned any communication with me. Complicating the matter, she moved from New York City to San Diego shortly after we signed the contract, then months later she alerted me that she might be moving back to NYC, so I am not certain whether she remains at her San Diego address.Desired Settlement: I would like to request that either 1) 50% of the fees ($900) be returned to me immediately, or 2) that third set of photos be forwarded promptly and 25% of fees ($450) be returned to me immediately.

I have been in touch with this client and we are corresponding right now. She also posted a [redacted] that has mostly unfounded complaints, claiming I took an exceedingly long time to post her image galleries, when I have emails showing that they were delivered to her within the 3 week contract estimated timeframe. She also accused me of rescheduling, but this was due to a disastrous NYC weather event that closed the expressway I had to take to get to her home. This was totally out of my hands. There was plenty of communication about this and for it to be mentioned now is unnecessary and unfair. Not a word was discussed about her actual in-person experience with me as a photographer, or the beautiful photos I delivered (there is an excerpt from one of her emails below).

Review: I hired Melanie Rose to take photographs, ordered products from the website, and remitted payment. I have neither received my full order nor responses to my inquiries. One order was placed in November of 2012 and another order was placed on July 3, 2013. The photographs are time sensitive due to the nature of them being of my infant son. They were taken at 1 week and 7 months of life; he is now 13 months old.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for $420, which is the price listed for the canvas prints I ordered from the website. I have paid in full for both sessions and additional prints ordered outside the components of the package I purchased.
