Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] is not proposing a resolution at all. She did not adhere to any aspect of the contact we both signed. I don't not feel we were being too picky as there was hair stuck in the paint as well was extremely poor workmanship. When contracting another company I was charged more to in-do the damage to our doors. On top of that she is claiming my husband threatened her which at no time happen. [redacted] refused to return our doors and we informed her what our next steps (file a police report) would be if she did not return our doors, at no time did my husband ever mention his profession. Not to mention the photo [redacted] provided in her response are not even our doors. Attached is a picture [redacted] sent me through [redacted] as you can see we have raised panel doors not flat ones, there is also a picture of the hair and some other major issues.
We would like a full refund ASAP
Regards,
[redacted]

If you'll read [redacted] review, our experience is a pretty close match. I can't tell you how many times we were lied to. How many days of my time were wasted waiting for people that no showed. How many times "we'll be here all day" turned into less than 4 hours of work. I can't express properly the depths of my disappointment in the quality of the work that was done. In the work that was not done. Wrong colors used on SOME of the cabinet doors. Paint drippings on my carpet, on woodwork. Pieces of the cabinets never painted. I have 18 pictures of flaws - I stopped when I realized this mess was never going to possibly be resolved in my lifetime. Possibly the worst part is that I talked my husband into using [redacted] instead of one of the other companies we got bids from. Her mantra is she's a single mom trying to make ends me. Like we should overlook issues for that reason?

Customer failed to mention that doors were taken back because they were extremely picky and couldn't be pleased. Job was behind schedule because when it needed a "full refinish" I was working on another project. Customer was unable to be pleased and was threatening bc he's a police...

officer. Plenty of text messages to prove so.

[redacted] and [redacted] job has been completed on July 11, 2014.
The manager from a Sherwin Williams location came out and viewed the job and suggested
we use a better bonding primer for these particular panels.
Customer was satisfied.
We guarantee...

our kitchens for life because we use a guaranteed for life product. The [redacted] were never
told that we wouldn't fix the problem that baffled us all. That's what we did, it just took some time to figure
out the problem.
Thanks,
[redacted].

We entered into a contract to have our kitchen cabinets refinished and crown molding installed through sole proprietor, [redacted] acting as an agent under the principal of Melissa Ray Interiors on 4/28/15 for the total amount of $1530. Half of the total ($1530) amount, $765 for the job was paid on 4/28/15. The removal of the doors was to begin the following Tuesday 5/5/2015. Melissa Ray was a no show. When I contacted her, she asked me “What was our tentative start date”? At this point I should have stopped the project but she had already cashed our check. After repeated no shows and poor communication, she finally showed up on Friday 5/8/2015, three hours late. The contract that we signed said the job would take 7-10 days. The boxes were to be sanded and painted the following week. On Monday 5/11/2015, [redacted] and two others showed up the prep and paint the cabinet boxes for about 2 hours and then left. The following day only one showed up, very late, and worked for a few hours. The following day no show, no communication. After repeated attempts to reach [redacted], she finally responded saying she and another person would be here Friday to complete the boxes. Only one person showed to paint the remainder of the boxes. I then asked about the doors on 5/13/2015 to which I got "we are still working on the doors". No response for days. On Monday 5/18/2015 she responded with "We are working on them the next two days" and that we needed to coordinate to install the crown molding. Through the next week no one came by and there was very little communication. I repeatedly asked for the doors with no response. Finally on Friday 5/22/2015 she responded with "I glazed the doors. They look awesome! In my professional opinion I think they're too tacky to transport" and "you have my word that you'll have a great final product". I asked for a picture which she agreed to send and never did. We then agreed that the crown and the doors would be installed the following Wednesday 5/27/15. No show, no communication 5/27, 5/28, 5/29. On Friday May 29, 2015 a general contractor showed up to install the crown molding. The only problem was it was mismatched and there was not enough to complete the project. For a week we had incomplete and mismatched crown molding. The contractor informed us that our doors were still not painted as of that day - she lied. That night I contacted [redacted] informing her again of my disappointment, and to let her know I needed the doors back by Friday June 5 (a full month since the project began) because we were having a party on 6/6/2015. No response. No communication 5/29, 5/30, 5/31, 6/1, 6/2, 6/3, 6/4. On Thursday 6/4/2015 the contractor returned with new molding and proceeded to remove the mismatch one and replace. He then informed us the doors were being glazed that day for install Friday 6/5/2015. On 6/5/2015 he arrived without the doors and finished the crown. Three hours later [redacted] asked him to meet her 1.5 miles away from my house to get the doors. What business person would not come and deliver/install their guaranteed product? He arrived with the doors that appear to have only been primed and glazed. They were completely the wrong color. When I asked her she had no response other than "I know - not good", and kept asking the contractor what she should do. At this point I informed her that we were done, our contract was void and that I wanted a bit of a refund because I was going to have to hire someone else to do the job right. She told me to "sleep on it and we will talk again tomorrow" well it is now 6/9/2015 I have yet to hear from her. We are now in the process of repainting the doors with someone who is a professional. In addition to the money lost, I cannot even begin to count the number of hours we have wasted on this excuse of a business. We did not have a good experience with this company. This person is unreliable, unprofessional, very poor communicator and does low quality work. I hope others read this review and think twice before giving Melissa Ray Interiors their money. I wished I had heeded the warnings on the Revdex.com.

I had the pleasure of working with [redacted] to refinish our kitchen cabinets. She did an amazing job and was very helpful and patient while I changed my mind several times trying to determine the color to go with. The quality of the work was great and we're very happy with the result.
