car back to garage because we completed a used transmission job on the car a few months ago, she said the transmission we had put in was not working correctly I asked her to bring the car in so we can test it and see what was the issue with the transmission could be. After we tested it we found that the car’s front differential was leaking fluid it was cracked open in the gear casing, I called the customer and advised her that the front differential was broken and we couldn’t test the transmission with only one working differential and her car being a 320 4matic which is like 4*4 we cannot test the car on the road like that. We started looking for used differentials but couldn’t find one any. So we advised customer, she said she was going to find one. Time pasted and she started to call numerous amounts of times and became verbally abusive with threats to take us to court and that she was recording the conversations I tried to reason with the customer to get a resolution but the customer had always been uncompromising. She had someone from a different garage come to pick up the car and said the transmission had no oil and he claimed that we never changed the transmission in the first place but we know the transmission has a mark on it from the parts disturber we used for proof that transmission is different. Attached is a copy of her receipt that she paid on and the dates of the service.

Review: October 2014 had a transmission done at Mellon Garage. I paid $1800 for a rebuilt transmission. November 1, 2014, the transmission started to give out. I took it back to the shop the first week of November 2014 complaining about the issue at hand. the owner stated that it was not the transmission but rather the front differential (axle). He stated that he would fix the axle. By the middle of November 2014, he stated that he could not locate an differential. I called and recorded (i told her that I was recording this message) his secretary telling me that they were waiting on a new transmission and an axle. Again, his secretary relayed the same message to me when I called. Months has passed, its a new year 2015. My car has sat at Mellon street Garage since November 2014 until March 2015. I picked my car up on 3/13/2015 nothing has been done to my car. I locate an axle at [redacted] in [redacted]. I pick up axle and take it to a new mechanic. He puts axle on 3/14/15 and test drives it and the transmission gives out. Mechanic says transmission was never rebuilt and he sees no markings that would be on there if it was rebuilt..He thinks it the original transmission and Mellon Garage never fixed the issue that I paid them $1,800 for. I haven't had my car since November 2014.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement for the paid transmission $1800.
