[redacted] had a fire at her home. ServiceMaster was called in to remove...
all contents from the home so that the insurance carrier could as the property damages. ServiceMaster did perform cleaning and repairs at the [redacted] property.
ServiceMaster cleaned salvageable contents and inventoried non-salvageable contents. The non-salvageable items were written down on paper, she then put a dollar amount to the items, and ServiceMaster submitted the list to her insurance carrier. The cost to replace fire damaged items or electric costs is between [redacted] and her insurance carrier.
Items that were damaged or missing through the process of the claim were paid for by ServiceMaster 4th quarter 2013. ServiceMaster offered $750.00, [redacted] said the contents were valued at $800.00; so ServiceMaster wrote a check for $800.00 and [redacted] cashed it.
When ServiceMaster returned the salvageable items to the [redacted] property, she was there and for the first 10 minuets of taking items out of the trucks; [redacted] claimed that the items were not hers. [redacted] daughter was on site and kept telling [redacted], these items are yours and let the crews take them inside.
I don't know if this complaint is actually about money or its a memory issue. The items in the complaint are factual, its just weather she remembers being paid.
I can not verify any type of items that are directly handled or being handled by the insurance carrier, that part of the complaint has nothing to do with ServiceMaster.

Review: Many items not returned such as old coins, all Christmas decorations, antiques, Elvis collectables, many misc. items. All doors do not work properly. High electric cost while repairs were being made, due to fire and water damage. Many items were thrown out and not replaced when they were still usable.Desired Settlement: Would like to have my items returned. Would like to warn others of their service.
