[redacted] and [redacted] applied for # [redacted] on 7/22/and they were approved the same dayThere was never a time that the price was changed or "destroyed"All signed contracts are in tact and was provided to [redacted] and Clint per their request [redacted] told my Assistant Manager that she didn't want to sign the lease contract until they signed off on their house on 8/12/She called our Assistant Manager beginning of August to let me know the close date on her house had been pushed back so she wanted to wait longer to sign the lease contractMy Assistant did not prepare the lease as we were waiting on a final move in date [redacted] stopped by when my Assistant was not there and asked to sign her lease and was told the lease was not prepared and she would need to talk to my Assistant to schedule a timeThe next day, my Assistant was given the message that she stopped by to sign an the leaseMy Assistant called her that day and prepared the leaseShe said she would try to come in sometime that week [redacted] later called to cancel and told my Assistant that she had found a condo closer to where their new home is getting built and it has a yard for their dogsMy Assistant then informed her she would not get any of her deposit back because she was canceling after she had been approved

*** *** vacated her apartment #on 7/8/Her final move out statement was mailed to the provided forwarding address on 7/18/2017. The letter stated that she must pay the balance in full by 8/17/to avoid being sent to collections. We did not hear from her so we gave
her a courtesy call on 8/10/to remind her of the balance due and offered her a payment arrangement to which she refused to accept. Please let me know if you have any questions

The resident brought in a check, not knowing that a payment was made online as well.  Resident contacted us 11/2/2017 demanding we cut a check for the overage immediately.  The payments had already been processed and we explained that there wasn't anything we could do, and that we do not...

cut checks on site.  We explained that everything is submitted to accounting for them to enter and cut checks.  We also explained that since they were days away their move out date of 11/10, the credit would show on their statement of deposit and a final refund would be sent to them at that time.  We told him we would still reach out to our accounting department and see if there is any other option for him to receive the payment.  Our accounting department advised us on 11/2/2017 that he would have to wait for his move out to be refunded the amount and reminded us that we would still need to make sure that the payment went through and that it was not disputed before refund was given, so it would still take a couple days to issue regardless.

I am rejecting this response because I should not have to wait until my move out date and then also wait for the possible 30 day period to issue all or any overage amounts.  This was not a deposit, it was a double payment for a month's rent and should not be treated like a deposit.
