Review: This company opened a "kickstarter" that was fully funded on November 8, 2013. Fulfillment of rewards were originally posted for December 2013. It is now December 2014, a full year after the original fulfillment date and supporters are still with nothing and the company is silent. There has been a couple of update emails but they were all lies and stopped months ago. To add insult to injury they are currently selling the exact same products on [redacted] and [redacted] This company essentially robbed me of $55.Desired Settlement: I have more than patient and understanding and a refund is overdue considering the circumstances.
Review: A bottle of mead that my husband purchased was in a wine rack in our living room when the cork spontaneously flew out and across the room where I sat nursing our 5 month old son. It flew with the force of a paintball, hitting and denting my wall. The mead flew out of the bottle and onto all of my furniture, creating a huge sticky mess and damaging my property. Needless to say this startled my baby and myself. The worst past was that if my son had been in the way of the cork when it flew out it could have seriously injured him. The bottle was not labeled 'Contents Under Pressure' or anything of that nature. I called the owner of the company, Sergio M[redacted], to let him know what occurred with his product. He proceeded to give me a long explanation of why this occurred-something to do with the way the sediment settled in the bottle. This prompted me to think if he automatically knew the cause and that this was a possibility, why did he not label the bottle accordingly or take measures to prevent it? He then agreed to refund us for the order, only if the other four unopened bottles we purchased were returned to him! He said my husband should drive them to his meadery; the same product I told him had just spontaneously and dangerously exploded in our home creating a huge mess and a potentially dangerous situation-he now wanted my husband to drive to another state with in his car! We obviously did not agree to this! He arranged for his bottles to be shipped back to him but offered us nothing beyond a weak, half hearted apology to us for his product ruining our property, scaring and almost hurting our infant who was inches away from where the cork hit! He lacked compassion and refused to take responsibility for what he caused. He offered no help to us, nor any compensation for our damages. He even told my husband to look up the order number because he was busy with tours-not how an owner should handle a situation like this! Sergio never tried to keep us as customers...Desired Settlement: Label bottles of mead properly, stating they may spontaneously explode OR properly SEAL product so no one gets hurt
