I’ve had a broken AC for j on ver a year because American home shield sent this incompetent man to my house. He replaces a 30 year old outside unit using 5ft of copper line and didn’t even touch the inside until despite the parts being incompatible due to different types of Freon. I have 3 other companies statements that he installed improperly and doesn’t know what he’s doing based on the “creative copper work” their words. He has lied to American home shield and states that he hasn’t been to my house since may. I’ve got video that says otherwise. You can’t get away with anything in 2022 there are cameras everywhere and the fact that you don’t realize that proves just how dense you are overall Mel. He incorrectly installed my AC and it hasn’t worked for over a year now. Refuses to return any calls. I have receipts and video if you would like to see why you should choose somebody else. I have invoices from 3 other companies as well as the techs on audio stating exactly what was done wrong. I also have video of him walking into my house despite him telling AHS that he hasn’t returned since may. 4054643334

Mel and his company did a wonderful job installing and maintaining my heat and air. They came when they said they would, did not make a mess, and I have had no problems with my system or installation at all. He comes quarterly, changes the filters and does routine maintenance. I highly recommend him!

Mel's Maintenance was assigned to repair my ac unit by AHS Home Warranty. I contacted Mel to give him my property manager's info to contact the tenant in my house to schedule an appointment. Mel had an appointment set up that very day to take care of the problem. I was informed the very next morning that the problem had been fixed and the repair job complete. All in less than 24 hours. Outstanding job! The tenant is happy, the property manager is happy, and me the owner is very happy. Thank you Mel for taking care of business the right way!

Mel is the shinning example of how every service professional should approach a job. He communicated each step of the way, from scheduling the appointment, letting us know he was on his way, etc. It ended up being a two day project due to a part for an older system needing to be ordered, and he made a point of communicating timelines. The biggest pleasant surprise was him showing up exactly on time both days. I don't think I've ever had a service professional show up on time! Mel is professional, polite, communicative, etc. He will be my first choice in provider.

He was assigned to us through American Home Shield.

In regards to the previous review about Mel telling AHS something that wasn't true, I recommend taking that with a grain of salt. AHS sent an HVAC company to our place last year for the yearly HVAC service. I was with the tech when he entered the info for AHS into his handheld device and sent it off to them (saw the entire process). When I followed up with AHS, they told me the tech said something completely different. I've also had written communication with AHS where they contradict themselves. This isn't an uncommon occurrence for any insurance company (health, auto, home warranty, etc.). The other reviewer may be 100% correct. It's just as likely that it is AHS and not the service provider the reviewer should be upset with.

I used American Home Shield Warranty company because my AC stopped working in the middle of the summer with over 100 degree temps. They assigned MEL's Preventative Maintenance LLC to come out and either fix the problem or report the problem. He showed up promptly because he was on his way home to take his kid so he made a stop on his way home. I spoke with him briefly while he was troubleshooting and he was explaining to me what the problem was. He said that the fan seized up and the compressor bad. He said he would call it in to AHS for approval for repairs. I look online that evening and it says the claim was closed out. So I call AHS and he told them that their were parts missing and he could not diagnose problem. SO not true. I called the home warranty company and they sent another company out for a second opinion. They said no parts were missing at all and they troubleshoot it down to being the fan and the compressor being bad. I believe the tech at MEL's which was the owner, did not want to complete the work because he had his child in the car and was in a hurry. His initial report had me fuming because they denied my claim. I'm so glad that a more reputable company came by and did what they were suppose to do. DO NOT HIRE THEM. IF YOU GET A Referral PLEASE ASK FOR ANOTHER COMPANY>

He installed mine wrong and it’s been broken since April 2021 now it’s august of 2022. I’m gonna see if we can get him on google so it’s easier for people to see what a worthless liar he is.
