Re: complaint [redacted] upon taking delivery of vehicle on 10/01/2014 agreed to the warranty provided by Rankl and Ries. We try to spell everything out so there is no confusion. Because of this we had him initial all coverages and terms. Attached is a copy that he agreed to. Also enclosed is paperwork on a "we owe" that states his warranty and nothing more was promised. However [redacted] did incur some mechanical problems shortly after purchase. Rankl & Ries as a goodwill gesture spent approx. $2350 resolving [redacted] complaints, none of which were covered under the 50/5o drivetrain warranty. I realize this was an inconvenience for the [redacted] but they were provided free transportation while the vehicle was being serviced. At no time during the covered service period did [redacted] or his wife make any reference to a transmission issue or an encoder motor concern. Our warranty has a specific time limit of go days, when T[redacted]r initially contacted the Revdex.com on 03/04/2015 he was already over 2 months past his warranty expiration. Unfortunately, Rankl & Ries is no longer responsible for repairs as the warranty is expired.

Ms [redacted] did stop in after taking delivery and said she wished to cancel her warranty as she did not understand that there would be a charge for it.  At that time, she also had several service issues she was concerned with.  I advised her against cancelling her warranty and  if...

she was to cancel it, it would only affect her principal balance and not her payment (not that it would affect her interest rate).  As far as putting her into another car, we would have to have some money down to cover any negative equity and it would be difficult to find a car for $170 or less a month.  She implied to me that she wouldn't have money down or be able to afford more than her payment. [redacted]Rankl & Ries

Re: complaint 1D# [redacted], I am enclosing paperwork showing where Mr [redacted] signed on 3 separate forms showing that the warranty cost was $2000. We are unable to cancel and credit back the cost of the warranty because [redacted] warranty company, to prevent warranty misuse, does not allow for...

cancellations. Also, I have reviewed the sale worksheet and I can see where Mr [redacted] was given a $2178 discount off the sale price. Lastly, according to the "we owe" (a form we use to list anything that was promised to the customer), the only item promised was a windshield that was already repaired. We would however be happy to provide Mr [redacted] with a 2"d key and a lug wrench.

Dear Revdex.com:Rankl and Ries sent 50000 mail pieces for a sale we had on February 01 through February 06. In the mailer you had a chance to win several different prizes. The winning number is insured through hole in one promotions. Info about the winning number can’t be given over the phone per the hole...

in one insurance agreement. The promotion is meant to drive traffic to the dealership and offer an incentive to people that might be in the market for a new car or truck. Sorry for any misunderstandings we certainly were not trying to make anyone upset. The number for the big prize is in promotion we do but hole in one promotions is betting that person will not show up. In October of 2016 we did have a lady bring in the winning number worth $25000, that was awesome. Thanks for your time. Tad Ries — Rankl and Ries motorcars

Yes, Many problems with ABS system. All repairs were finally resolved. Customer has complained about transmission repair but vehicle is now out of warranty. (see warranty form) Would work with customer on repair but cannot pay for transmission by myself. If customer is willing to pay some as well,...

maybe we can work something out.

To whom it may concern,  We use numbers instead of symbols, and unfortunately either way we have someone that feels they were"the big winner" because they failed to fully read the disclaimers. We always go one step further than required on our campaigns and add the disclaimer near or under the...

prize section rather than just small print at the bottom back of the mail piece. All of our campaigns are insured as required by law and all the winning numbers have been randomly selected by the insurer and are ALL ALWAYS MAILED.  Of course the goal when one advertises is to drive traffic to their business.Thank you for your review of our rebuttal!

Enclosed please find copy of check in amount of $800.00, sent to [redacted] on August 2, 2016. This is the full amount for cancellation of Gap Insurance, purchased by [redacted]. We have not received the refund from [redacted], that provided the insurance coverage, but we...

do want [redacted] complaint handled as of today.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We feel our complaint and request is not unreasonable. We purchased what we thought was a good reliable vehicle, within the first 16 weeks of owning the truck we had to return to the dealership at least 9 times due to the same problem, ABS and BRAKE lights coming on and dinging, each time the dealership would give us a loaner "car" which does not work for our family for many reasons, we dont like cars, we have a large family, we live out in the country, and we have a small farm, hauling feed, hay and manure is not something you can do in a car, each time we asked for a truck and we were told that we were getting the best of there loaners, which was pretty sad considering they had check engine lights, low tire lights, hard to start, smelled like smoke (we have two kids with asthma) Within the first 4 months of us owning the truck we made our payments in full and on time even though we did not have the vehicle in our possession at time of payments. We requested many times if we could exchange the truck, rewrite the loan for another truck that was in working condition, we were told that we hadnt paid enough on ours to do that. When we picked the truck up for the last time from the dealership we were told "We got it this time we think" within a week the transmission went out. When we called we were told that our warranty had ran out, which we knew it had a limited warranty but we never had the vehicle in our possession for the length of the so called warranty. We were told that if we brought the truck back up they would see what kind of a deal they could work out for us, which we felt was unjust. We took the truck to another garage and had the transmission replaced for a cost of $2500.00 The following week the ABS and BRAKE lights came on again and the 4x4 went out, we returned to the second garage for him to repair, he replaced the 4x4 encoder motor and the power wire to the encoder motor, at a cost of $198.41. We feel that due to the conditions of the vehicle that we were sold, it is not unreasonable to ask that we be refunded our $3000.00 deposit, $2500.00 transmission repair and $198.41 for a total of $5698.41. We would never have paid that amount of money for a vehicle that we can not say is safe, and had that many problems.
