To Whom It May Concern:Ms [redacted] is misinformed when she states that Dr [redacted] was not licensed to administer sedation drugs when her procedure was performed on May 8, At that time, Dr [redacted] was fully licensed by the state of Texas to perform dentistry including sedation procedures As a result, we were entitled to bill for procedures performed and expect payment for those procedures However, as a show of good will, her account balance has been written off and she has been removed from collections.We hope that this will satisfy Ms [redacted] and reach her desired settlement.Sincerely, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I need to be removed from the account, I am not and have not been a patient of Carus Dental for at least years*** is the patient and has been during that whole time. I have never received bills in my name from Carus for ***. It is none of Carus' business if my then spouse and myself got a divorce, as I am not a patient thereAny arrangements that *** and I have is again none of their business, and they are not entitled to any terms/agreements of our divorce. They sent these bills in my name because they knew they were over charging *** and he confronted them about it. So to avoid further confrontation with ***, they sent the bill in my name. I do not believe that the amount they claim *** owes has been removed as I have not received anything in my name showing a zero balance, but they can send a bill in my name with an amount owed for something I did not incurI will not accept any explanation provided by Carus Dental until I receive documentation from them showing that I do not have a balance pending in my name

Good afternoon,  The patient was correctly informed: specialty services are covered. The patient's insurance covers specialty visits with a 25% discount. The fee for the consult was $94.00, and after 25% insurance discount, the copay came to $70.50.

The patient’s daughters were both seen, and one of them only had an exam billed out.. no hygiene appointment was completed. The patient first came in for a toothache, and we estimated [redacted] to cover the visit at 100%, however, the claim came back saying the 0140 was denied due to frequency. The...

patient currently now owes 75.00 for that exam.   As far as scheduling the appointment, the practice can see the patient sooner, and there are no limitations causing the patient to be seen in November. Before the patient’s hygiene visit can be done, a full exam must be completed by the doctor, per the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.   No money has been paid by the patient, therefore no refund is due. We will have the manager reach out to contact the patient to discuss this.

I am rejecting this response because: Again, I will not accept any response from Carus Dental until I receive something in the mail showing a zero balance in regards to the bills for [redacted]’s treatment. I am only and have always been the responsible party for [redacted], NEVER [redacted]! I never signed paperwork agreeing to be the responsible party for [redacted]’s treatment. It might be helpful for your company tokeep adult records separate from children records, that way [redacted] can’t get confused on what her job is. [redacted]’s balance at the pediatric Carus Kids Clinic is zero, and I have paperwork to show zero balance; nice try. [redacted] at Carus Kids removed a $37 fee because your staff didn’t verify that [redacted]’s insurance would pay for a fluoride treatment; and when I left on 1/2 the nurse scratched out the $37 on the paperwork.[redacted] is also not a patient of Carus Kids any longer and needs to be removed from your system as well as my name!! We done playing games with your company!!

In response to the patient's concerns over their dental procedure, we have fully removed any liability for the patient or insurance in regards to the dental treatment that was not completed. The patient has no account balance, and liability for the dental work has been removed.
