I ordered a motherboard from them on amazon, it arrived damaged, and was returned, they refuse to provide a refund.
Purchased a motherboard from this company on amazon XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX, it arrived badly damaged, amazon approved a return, and provided a return label. It was sent back to them, now they say the serial number of the board is not in their records and refuse to refund the purchase.

Desired Outcome

A refund for what I paid in the amount of 113.27

The customer ordered from our Amazon store in May of this year. Customer did promptly report to us that this product was damaged in shipping, and a return label was issued. Upon receipt of the returned product in our warehouse, the serial numbers on the packaging and the product were validated by our warehouse staff. While the serial on the packaging matches what we shipped originally, the serial number on the actual product does not.
Any product we sell is sourced from authorized distributors and we do not come across cases where an incorrect board is added inside retail packaging for a product. However, we are definitely sorry about the inconvenience caused to our customer and we have issued a full refund to the customer's account today.
While we are unsure how the issue with different serial numbers may have occurred, we are hoping that the refund in full will settle this matter, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you for the refund. It is greatly appreciated, I might suggest better packaging in the future to at least try to prevent damage caused by our great postal service.

breach of contract / bait and switch / ordered something received different product and was told that they didn't have that product in stock
I bought from this company a two piece kit of 3200mtu sodimm ddr4 ram off of amazon however I received a 4g single stick of ram well I contacted them and was able to get a hold of them withing a week (during which time the add was still posted as a 64 gig two stick kit. during the phone conversation I told them I had received the wrong time. at the time the service representative asked me for my invoice number and I gave him my amazon order number and my invoice number (which were different). I assume he looked them up because he asked for a minute. he then told me that the would send me an email with a return label and that they would send me the correct item. the next day I got the return lable and 5 minutes after the email with the return label I received another email saying that they looked into it (i guess in the five minutes since they sent the email) that the listing was mistaken and that they would be happy to refund the product. I find this incredibly hard to believe since product titles and descriptions are set separate (same with pictures) one mistake sure, 2 mistakes maybe but 3 and then not knowing about the mistake for 7 days? ill grant that it was heavily discounted but to be honest I just thought it was a small business unloading product during covid. that being said I would have been content with a refund however the delay in receiving the item added to the fact that I paid 40% of its price in shipping and the fact that after looking up my account I was told that they would send the right product I feel that they should honor both contracts (the verbal and written. if im bound by distance sales contracts so should business. and I just cant believe that after 5 days that I was the first person to complain about receiving the wrong product. in a later email relived from them they told me they couldn't because they didn't have the product though they were very friendly seeming in the emails there was no attempt at concession. the only reason I purchased the item and not a different one was due to the price. looking at the current price on the crucial website the 64gb it is 319.99 us or about 440 cad I paid 75 with shipping, so I was willing to take a lesser/cheaper product however the company wasn't willing to make any kind of concession even after having made a viral contract to send me the correct product.in accordance with the business practice and consumer protection act (bc) I have clearly rejected the item sent and am under no obligation to return it. it is sitting in the original packaging unopened awaiting the delivery of the item I paid for as I don't see this as an accident but rather breach of contract and bait and switch. the other reason I don't think it was an accident is because a 4gb ram on their website is priced at 32.00 Canadian not 50.00.

Desired Outcome

despite the fact that the product is in store i would have let this god had i not contacted you guys and you verbal reestablished the contract.

This customer ordered from us via the Amazon Canada platform (order XXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXXX). According to the customer's order confirmation on Amazon, the order was for a 64GB DDR4 laptop memory kit, at a price of CAD 52.90 - this product is currently listed on Amazon.ca at a price of CAD 459.00.
What we listed for sale was, and still is, a 4GB DDR4 module but due to a catalog error in Amazon's listings, this got matched to a 64GB kit in the Amazon system. About 8 other sellers were listed against this 64GB kit in error at the time.
As our listing and the associated price was for a 4GB module, this is what was shipped to the customer. We act on the product information in our own system, which means we were not even seeing this mis-matched information until the customer made us aware of it.
The customer called us upon receipt of the order, informing us he did not receive what he had expected to receive. Our customer service agent apologized for what we assumed to be a shipping error, and assured the customer we would resolve the matter. Upon further investigation it was discovered that this product had been incorrectly matched in Amazon's system and we setup a return for the customer and provided a prepaid return label too.
Immediately upon discovering this listing error in Amazon's catalog we made Amazon aware of this, and the listings got corrected within 24 hours but the Amazon team.
To date the customer has not returned this product to us, and as the price paid was in fact for a 4GB module, we assume the customer may have decided to keep the product.
The customer is making a claim of switch and bait, which is not a practice we engage in. We do believe that due to the huge price difference between what a 64GB kit typically costs, and the price paid on this order, the customer would have known in advance that this was a listing error. Please also note these these errors do happen on the Amazon platform, and on other online platforms, and sellers large and small are affected at times. This does not indicate that some scheme is at play to mislead customers! We have provided a free return label, however we have now refunded this customer in full without a need for the customer to return this product to us. We would of course be grateful for a return, but we do not require it at this time.
We certainly do apologize for the inconvenience caused to this customer, and we hope the full refund of his purchase price will resolve this matter.

Hey so I just wanted to say first of all this case should be reopened im sorry for my late reply, my grandmother had a fall and Ive been looking after her these last few weeks, I also assumed id be given as much time to respond as the business or at least received a reminder or a notice that the case was pending being closed which the business also received. that being said. first I will address the price issue, this was my first time buying ram and lots of people were selling stuff way below price to be honest id never heard of your company other than the reviews on amazon that I had read before purchasing and I honestly though you were a struggling business selling out inventory to stay afloat during covid (as many such sellout deals could be found at the time.) not only that amazon is where you go to get huge discounts. the price at the time before tax was 52.90 however you were literally the only business selling 64gig kits at 459 the mean average (and what I paid for my 64g 3000 xmp) was 160 per 32g single. that "huge price difference" that you speak of only exists en relation to your top price not the market average. second your price for 4 gb 3200 at the time (on your website in cad not us) was 34.98 and currently 27.09 (which I found out after this started). also it is a fairly common practice for company's to mark down their price then charge high shipping rates so when I count price of product it includes shipping so when I see something totaling 75.00 / XXX-XXX that's a 85% discount which according to one of your public statements a few years back could be considered a steep discount. now your correct I haven't returned it nor has it left its package I am safe guarding it for you upon deliver of the item I ordered or another arrangement is made and do this in full accordance with bc law (sale of goods act part 5 section 40) and in accordance with part 7 section 63 when your support staff agreed to honer the original deal he had the authority to act on your behalf in the matter and it also constitutes a binding contract I also specifically asked during the phone call if he wanted my amazon order number and he assured me that it was not necessary this could have been put to bed then and while the first round might not have been your error (though I said I would understand if it was amazons fault and gave you opportunity to blame amazon which I then would have dealt with amazon instead of you. however your response wasn't that you weren't going to fulfill the contract it was
"At this item we cannot replace the item with the 64 gb due to the fact it's an item we do have in stock"
and I will agree that bait an switch might not be a fully accurate category but you are in breach of contract further to say that after finding out about the error it was correct withing a day? well that's just not true I received the email with the return label and then 15 minus later an email stating that it was for a refund not a return on the 22 of april but I have video/picture of the product (uniquely identified by ASIN) as being the same price on the 28th of apirl and finally im not sure where you refunded the money as I told you at the time I no longer had that credit card.

Hello,
Thank you for your detailed reply. We hope your grandmother is feeling better at this time!
You refer to not having received the full refund - as this purchase was made via Amazon, we cannot see which card or payment method the refund was made to, but we can verify that the refund was made to your Amazon account. In order to chase down the actual refund method, only Amazon will be able to assist you in this matter, as for security reasons we have no access to this data.
As we stated earlier, we have refunded you in full without getting this product back. You are welcome to keep this product and make use of it.
We are not in the business of tracking our customers, we never have been and we never will be. This was, as previously stated, a listing error in the Amazon catalog, which we worked immediately to rectify once we knew of the issue.
At this time we are unable to offer you anything further than to allow you to keep this product which you have been refunded for.
Thank you.
