Memo's Professional Window Cleaning Reviews (3)

I am the Advisor for our Schierl Tire and Service location in Marshfield WI. I was very surprised about the complaint from [redacted] in regards to her vehicle. I spoke with both the Service Leader who interacted with [redacted] and the technician that worked on the vehicle. They both remember it well and...

communicated with her often while she was here. I have included copies of the work order, the inspection by the technician, and the invoice for what we charged her for. It all seems very well documented.        Here is the chronology of her visits:On 04/26/17 the 1997 Blazer came in for a brake fluid leak in the LF.        -our inspection identified:                -Rear differential cover rusted and leaking fluid                -Both front steel brake lines leaking                        -Both brake hoses were very rusty and suggested replacement                        -Bleeder screws in calipers were very rusty and may not come loose                                -If bleeders don't come out, new calipers would be required                -LF Sway bar link broken                -Check engine light on.        [redacted] counseled [redacted] on what we saw. [redacted] chose to have the brake work done including the hoses. The calipers did require replacement.                The total invoice was $833.37.On 07/18/17 the 1997 Blazer came in to check the brakes for a spongy feel and not stopping well, an oil change, one tire repair, and to check the AC doesn't blow out the vents, only the floor and defrost.        -Our inspection identified:                -Rear differential cover rusted and leaking                -LF sway bar link broken                -Vacuum leak at transfer case                -4wd not working        [redacted] counseled [redacted] on what we saw. The vacuum leak was causing the AC not to route properly and the loss of vacuum was affecting the power assist for the                Brakes causing the spongy feel. We repaired the vacuum leak as part of the diagnostic time. [redacted] didn't want anything else done because she was very short of                        funds. On 07/27/17 the 1997 Blazer came in to check a noise from the rear of vehicle, the AC was only blowing in the center, and the brakes felt soft.        -Our inspection identified:                -The Heat/AC control was set to the heat setting. When turned to AC, everything worked properly. [redacted] brought [redacted] out to the vehicle to demonstrate the                      setting on the AC.                -The noise in the rear was from the pinion bearing. [redacted] told [redacted] she would need to check into parts to put together and estimate and would have it done the next                        day. [redacted] was working alone at the time and it would take a bit to get it together. [redacted] was very upfront about the fact she didn't have any money to repair                        the truck. [redacted] created the quote on 07/28/17 and sent it to the office in the courier to be mailed. All of the inspections, work orders, and invoices are attached and indexed together. Jeremi Moll was the technician servicing the vehicle. [redacted] remembers the transactions well as does Jeremi. I don't know what we could have done differently to avoid the failure in her pinion bearing. We told her twice the cover was leaking fluid and she didn't have the money to fix anything. She said that at least three times. We could have called her with the quote to speed things up.I was surprised that she doesn't think the pinion bearing is a real thing. It has been in rear differentials since the dawn of the automobile. I am more than willing to be reasonable because guest satisfaction is extremely important to our organization. Don't hesitate to contact me with any suggestions or concerns.Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I posted copies of only paperwork I had received from garage but hit save before I hot to type in reason im rejecting their responce ... I didn't get those papers they showed with comments on whats wrong ..and was never told differential was leaking and cover was rusted ...When I took it in for oil change and lube I mentioned the leak and was told they would check it since its part of the oil change and lube ...Yes my money is limited but I have never had problem paying for the work that needed to be done to keep my vehicle running and safe ..as invoices show ..I pay my bills ..if something needs to be fixed I pay to fix it ...They seem to be makin me out to be someone tryin to get something free and im not ..Everything in there response has nothing to do with the issue ...they just made remarks that I cant pay and dont listen ..The drawins on invoice were not there when I signed that as I showed in pic of my copy..Bottom line is I paid for oil change and chassis lube ... The differential is part of the chassis ...if they had lubed it ..we would not be goin through this ...If they can explain why ...they did not do that and didnt not inform me they did not do it ..maybe we can move to resolve this  ..and stop distracting from everything else ..they never told me it had leak and rusted cover ..but that doesnt even matter ...they did not do Lube of chassis ....If I had known they didnt put oil in it I would not have drove 500+ miles with no oil in the differential ....If you could send me link to add writen part to the rejection so I can ask why they did not do it ..we can get closer to resolving this ..I realize they wont fix this ...and they wont pay to fix it ..but they made a mistake ..they didnt do what they were supose to   ..and they and puttin the blame on me for damage ...They need to just admit they made mistake ..[redacted] Glover

Mr. [redacted] brought his car back in for us to look at. We inspected the vehicle, grease the suspension and steering and test drove. Once this was completed 3 different technicians test drove the vehicle. The noise was gone. Mr. [redacted] test drove the vehicle and every thing is ok. Mr. [redacted] is happy. Thank you, [redacted]
