Memphis Auto Depot Reviews (1)

I purchased a [redacted] from this dealership. Within a week of me having this vehicle the transmission began to slip. I contacted the dealership and the advised me that the transmission was under warranty and to bring it in. I took them the vehicle and they gave me a replacement vehicle. They kept my SUV for 2.5 weeks after returning the vehicle they advised me that the issue I reported with the vehicle were not found when they tested the vehicle. A month passed I was having the same issue. Contacted them again they took the vehicle and came back with the same news. This time I ended up stuck on the side of the road with my children and when I contacted them the owner told me to bring in the vehicle after 3pm. I went back to the dealership as instructed and the guy told me he could not take me car because the owner was gone for the day. A week pasted and the owner contacted me asking when I would be in to make a payment and I told him that I would not make a payment on a vehicle that I cannot drive and that I do not have money to pay a tow truck. He told me that he would have the vehicle towed and check out the issue. I contacted them on today and he told me that I would have to give him $650 and my $300 monthly payment to get the transmission replaced because it was no longer under warranty. I have only had the vehicle 4 months and each month I reported the same issue! They refused to give me any of my money back or replace the vehicle.Product_Or_Service: [redacted] Order_Number: NAAccount_Number: NA`Desired SettlementI would like a refund of a portion of the funds I paid to the company for the vehicle. They towed the vehicle on 6/26/2015 and the vehicle is no longer in my possession.Business Response She purchased the car as-is with no warranty. She also defaulted on her payment. The car does need a transmission, it is 2k to repair. If she wants to bring $1k for half of the trans repair, and catch most of her payment up, then she can have the car back.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I stopped paying on the vehicle because of the problem with the vehicle. I ws given a verbal warranty that the transmission was under for six months. It was said to me each time I returned the vehicle nothing was wrong with the transmission and if problems continue to bring it back because it was under warranty. The last time I was told "oh its not under warranty anymore" I only had the vehicle in my possession for four months. This is not my first time with the issue I have had the issue since I purchased the vehicles. When I spoke with him he told me is would cost 1300 and to bring in 650 as well as my $300 payment. I refused because I was told the transmission was under warranty and I refuse to pay for a vehicle that I cannot drive. According to the ** State Lemon Law its illegal for him to even sale me a vehicle of such and after three attempts the vehicle should either be replaced or a refund is granted. He refuses either. It's unfair and that is not a way to do business. I was only behind one payment and it was due to him being negligence about replacing the vehicle. I have attempted on several occasions to have the vehicle replaced and or a refund. At this point I would not like another vehicle I would like if not all a portion of the money he has received from me which totaled 3994 and some change. Final Business Response I am trying to help the customer. She is extremely behing in her payment. She is in default. Not charging her a repo fee..or the payments she is behing. Just 1k toward fixing the car. Or she can bring me 1k and I can try to put her in another vehicle
