The car dealer ship is a used car dealership and he is a con artist cuz he sell mess up cars to people and then keep telling them to bring ot back andAmd he will fix it but doesnt xuz my partner took hus truck back up there bout 5 times and then the truck still not fix always want folks to drop off there vehiclesDesired SettlementI just want money back all of it my deposit and my first paymentBusiness Response Mr [redacted] is making this complaint because his Jeep was repossessed because he let his insurance lapse. As far as his repair problem, he has, or had a service contract for repairs, and failed to bring it in so I cant fix it. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)In the contract does it say he can pick up the jeep if any insurence not on it just say just have insurance on it at all times and I had the money the next day but he had his tow truck driver pick up my jeep the next day and then when I bought it he suppose to look it over make sure everything works on and nun wrong with I dont think he did that cuz my jeep wobbles when drive it and heat didnt work on it but nun in contract say he can pick it up if insurance wasnt on it thoAnd also his advertising is wrong too 259 down he has folks paying 1,000 dollars for mess up cars he got my partner and then he got me we saw a lady walk in the day he got my jeep and she was disappointed cuz she had the downpayment what he advertised but he wanted more money and all his cars look mess up Final Business Response I will do all that Mr [redacted] and I agreed on, when he complies with his contract.

My complaint is about a promises refund for the down payment on a vehicle I gave them. On january 8th I went to the car lot for a vehicle. They said I needed insurance so I left because I only had $500 for a down payment. My dad told me I could get on his insurance so I turned around and went back to get the car. The sales lady (Shelby) talked to state farm and got the paper work she needed. After everything was handled I left with the car. Exactly a week later which was the 15th they called my phone back to back while I was sleep. I finally answered the phone and they told me I need to come down to the carlot to pay a damage waiver fee for the car because state farm had dropped me. Which I wasn't aware of. I get down there to pay and thats when Billy came out his office saying I never had insurance. If I never had insurance why did they let me leave off of the lot the day I got the vehicle? State farm said I had to pay, which I didnt know anything about because it was my dad insurance. So Billy had shelby to call and give me a quote on insurance. They tried to force me to get $400 insurance which I didn't have $400. I was stranded at the car lot forva hour because he took my keys and I had to find a ride. Billy told me they will refund me back my down payment. I called him the next day which was the 16th he then told me to call monday which is today the 19th and told me they not refunding it back. & one of the reasons was bc I never had insurance. Well I look at it as their fault for letting me drive off the lot with a car that was not covered. They are very unprofessional, they laugh & joke about the customer while the customer is present. They are not for their customers they only care about money. I do not think they should promise things and dont act upon their promises. While they were talking about me in the office as if I wasnt in the building I heard them say they were going to refund me back. So why is it a different story now? My dad told Billy my car smell like gas & Billy best response was that well I only gave him $500 so what do I expect? And to get the smell out on my own. When I got the vehicle it was filthy. I had to clean it out on my own. & it had the former owner important info all inside the vehicle. If I was a crook that could've been someone identity stolen. They are extremely careless. The vehicle is a Pt cruiser purple with wood grain. & when I turned the bag in with the former owner info the sales person Mathew went rambling through it to see what he could find until he looked up & seen me standing looking at him with disgust in my eyes. & I never in my life seen someone openly ask their boss for money to buy cigarettes (Shelby). Thats just something that should be private. My overall experience with this carlot was not good at all. & to end it with, its not my fault the car wasnt covered. If the car wasnt covered its no way I should've drove off that lot. They shouldve held it a day to make sure everything was okay. I had the car a week. Why should I suffer and not get my refund for a mistake they made. Desired SettlementThe refund im seeking is $500. That was the down payment I put on the car. Shelby put my money in the safe so fast I didn't get to get it the same day I handed it over. The reason I was going to ask for it back is because I didn't fins out my note was going to be bi-weekly until after the fact. Why wait until after you have the customer money to discuss those things? The whole time im in there im thinking that they're monthly. I never wouldve stepped foot inside their building if I've known they were bi-weekly. All I want is my refund back. Im not looking to hurt their business because they will truly deal with a higher power for doing hard working people wrong. Business Response Mrs[redacted], came and bought a car, had ins faxed over to drive off the lot, and never paid the premium for said ins. thus there was never ins on the car. She entered a contract, and defaulted.then came in and was givin opportunity to make it right, and get proper ins, and refused. because she never intended to put coverage on the car.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)When I drove off the lot I clearly thought I had insurance. Its not my fault they let get there car for a WEEK with no insurance. Thats something they shouldve made sure I had before it left there lot. I would've waited a day if I had to, to make sure the vehilce is covered. I was told "Okay Ms.[redacted] you're covered with your dad insurance so you're good to go." I wouldn't had no problem getting insurance on the vehivehicle, but I'm not about to be forced to pay insurance upfront when I didn't have any cash on me at the time. Only cash I had on me is the cash to pay for the damage waiver. I mean why call and tell me "hey we need $45 so you can put a damge waiver on the car." If the car never been insured in the first place. & why go back on your words on your customer when you clearly out your own mouth said "I will refund you your money, call me tomorrow." This whole situation is missing respect. If I'm giving respect I should receive it back. I had that vehicle and week as I stated many times, its not about me not wanting to put insurance on the car. If the car wasn't insured I should've never been able to drove off or kept that car that long without it. I mean if they were so serious like they say they are about the vehicles being insured.. I just would like my refund and that is all.

both the sales men as well as the manager are misleading. I purchased a 2001 nissan maxima on 12/11/2014 and as of 1/3/2015 I am not driving it.on 12/11/2014 I purchased a 2001 nissan maxima from sales man[redacted] and manager [redacted] in the down payment ammount of $789.00 via debit card. the day I left, I went to the gas station to fill up and my check engine light came on.[redacted] assured me that the light would leave once the old gas filtered itself out(he says I used a different gas). once I made it to my residence, I remebered that I had an important errand to run. I tried to start my car again and it would continue to run. from that day on I had to press the gas as I started the car to keep it running. then on 1/1/2015 on my way to lunch with an aunt, my car began to jerk and would not drive above 35 miles per hour. I drove my car to the dealership on 1/3/2015 to be fixed as it is covered under warranty where I was told that even though it has not been thirty days after purchase, I would be responsible for a $100 deduct-able as well as a car payment of $235 towards my account. I indicated how awful that was and that it would not be done. as of 1/13/2015 my car is still in their possession, has not been fixed nor the problem diagnosed. I have documented every person that I have spoken with including date and time of conversation. on 1/12/2015 I was told by finance rep[redacted] that my would be fixed until I made a payment.my father contacted [redacted] where he was told that I would not receive a refund nor be placed in a different car. I am highly upset and very disappointed. please help in what ever way that you can. your help is greatly appreciated. Desired Settlementthe only thing that I am asking for is a full refund Business Response Mrs [redacted] bought a car with a service contract, once we found out what was wrong. we got it fixed. rebuilding the transmission. she has an $100 deductable. she decided she didnt want the car anymore.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)It took well over a month before anyone ever told me what the issue was let alone that my car was being fixed. I even had a representative named [redacted] tell me that my car would not be fixed until a made a car payment towards my account. I received constant phone calls on my personal cell as well as my job about money but never about the condition of my car. Once they finally decided to tell me that my car was at an[redacted] on [redacted], a rep there stated that my car had been there for a week with no authorization from [redacted] to be fixed.Final Business Response To whom it may cocern, Mrs [redacted] can bring her past due payments current, pay her $100 deductable, and pick up her car.

I would advise Ms [redacted] to retain her own legal counsel if she believes that MASC, Inc. is in breach of our lease agreement on this vehicle.

Every time I take my car up there they dont nothing but look at it never fix it getting tired of it I work everyday I need dependence transportation N/ADesired SettlementI want better costumer insisting Business Response Mr [redacted] came in shortly after Leasing this Vehicle with concerns of an exhust noise.after talking to him, I told him at his earliest convenience drop the car with me, and I will see what I can do. he never did or called.

I needed repairs done on my car and my car needed to be towed. I was told the tow would be no charge but now over a year later they are charging me. On 9/26/13 my 2005 Mercury Sable VIN:1MEFM55S05AXXXXX bought from Memphis Auto Sales and Consulting needed to be towed for transmission repairs. I was told that the tow cost would be of no charge. The reason for this was because I had so many issues with the car running proudly from the time I purchased it less than 4 months previous. Also Because once before I took it to another shop for a flywheel repair, the sales consultant stated they would prefer to handle this issue in house and make sure the repairs were done correctly. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, an invoice charge of $45.00. Then on 10/02/13 without my knowledge the vehicle was towed again to [redacted] for the actual repairs. I have also received an invoice to pay for this tow a charge of $45.00 in which I don't feel I should have to pay as well. The cost to repair the transmission was $1000.00 in which was paid at time of service on 10/04/13. I have the receipt of payment for this. In the invoice I received on 12/20/2014 it shows only a payment for repairs of $856.00 which is incorrect. I have tried to resolve this with the general manager at the establishment however his response was basically that the sales consultants word told to me that there would be no charge for the tow is no good and that if it wasn't in writing then it's not valid; therefore, I would have to pay for the charges. I do not think they should charge me and I believe it is poor customer service and accounting on their end to ask for payment of services that happened over a year ago. Furthermore, I was told by the general manager, a Mr [redacted], that my car payment that was made on 10/17/2014 was partially alloted to these tow charges without my knowledge, and that I still now owe the remainder amount left over after that $89.30 tow charge was paid to balance out my car payment. I believe it is wrong for them to take my car payment without my knowledge and put it towards an old [redacted] that I was unaware of for a tow service that happened more than a year ago. I believe this is also illegal to do. I also don't appreciate that now that they have received the towing [redacted] from J&R towing they are coming to me to make payment, calling me and harassing me every day for this payment. I feel like if I was responsible for this charge, which again I told I wasn't, they should have brought it to my attention then and not now and then expect payment within the next business day after they brought this issue to my attention. I paid my car payment on 12/17/14, spoke to Mr [redacted] 12/20/14, was told my car note partially went to paying this old [redacted] and that by 12/21/14 I needed to come up with more money to balance out what I still owed for my car payment. This is poor poor business practices. Desired SettlementI would like Memphis Auto Sales and Consulting to take the money I already paid on 10/17/2014 for my car payment to be placed towards my car payment. I also would like them to uphold their word whether it be by mouth or in writing that I wouldn't be responsible for any of the tow charges from October of last year, 2013. And, with that, take ownership of those tow charges.
