Bob Flowers came to our house at [redacted] Dr, Germantown, TN XXXXX in April 2014. He measured our house, took a deposit of $900 and told us to contact him for installation when we were ready (about a month later). Our daughter, [redacted], was at the house expecting installation and speaking with me on the phone while I was speaking with Mr. Flowers. Mr. Flowers was extremely rude and unprofessional. My daughter called the police to have them escort Mr. Flowers off the property and to return our monies to us. During our phone conversations, Mr. Flowers became beligerent and highly emotional stating that he would refund us the difference in the deposit and the work which wasn't completed per the contract and send the difference to our home. The tile he wanted to install in our house didn't match the carpet and the installers who were working with him stated that the tile wasn't what was used with the carpet choice of #102. Our daughter took time off work to deal with this installer and it was nothing short of a nightmare for both our daughter and us. Mr. Flowers didn't install the carpet, pad or leave it on the premises for a qualified installer to install. He packed up all of the materials (after delaying installation without notification) and left the premises after he demanded payment in full prior to the work being completed and our daughter writing out a check for him and putting under duress in the memo line. He refused the check. Mr. Flowers sent us a bill for $178.35 and charged us for his breech of contract. It cost us an additional $1800 to have the carpet and tile installed by a professional installer on top of the monies lost of $900 plus lost wages due to this unprofessional contractor.Product_Or_Service: carpet installationDesired SettlementWe demand that we are reimbursed our initial $900 deposit plus the additional $1800 to cover the cost of installation for the installer. This will off set our time loss from work and make us whole. License of this company should be pulled and company sited due to police stating that the Flowers brothers are known for doing "this" to several unsuspecting customers. Obviously her attitude displayed a person who was mentally dangerous or she was using drugs.We completed padding the house or leaving any pad the customer paid for with deposit of $900.She was told we considered her attitude dangerous and had to terminate the installation at that pointYelling and screaming she called the Germantown police who she had called to make us continue working. Ridiculous!Our attorney was called who said to conclude the installation (Do not work if the situation is dangerous)The enclosed letter is an account of how the $900 was applied to the [redacted] accountThe Germantown Police could not reason with her- he believed we should terminate the installation This matter is over a year old.
