I was charged incorrect amounts for approximately 20 office visits. I Verified amounts with my insurance and "MPMG" refused to provide reimbursement. I was charged incorrect amounts for approximately 20 office visits the reimbursement exceeds over $500.00. After reviewing the explanation of benefits/remittances with [redacted] I tried to resolve the matter with MPMG, they refused until I showed them my cash receipts. I had kept many receipts but not all of them. I asked [redacted] the business office point person to look in there reciept book and review their EOB's from [redacted]. She refused to proceed. The amounts involove incorrect charges for my co-pays. Dr. [redacted] always charged me the rate of $40.00/visit. This person seemed to be very hands on and involved in every aspect of the business. He appeared to be an honest and forthright clinician and businessman too. I was shocked to find out that MPMG would operate in such an unethical way especially when it involves Arkansas [redacted] and [redacted]. I am obtaining all EOB's/remittances for every date of service from Arkansas [redacted] and will be uploading those files when I receive them. Desired SettlementI want to be reimbursed for the difference between what I was charged and what my insurance company said I was responsible for for every date of service. Business Response I have reviewed this patient's chart/balance. He doesn't have a "credit" he actually has a balance of $ 141.81. The idividual in question is completely mistaken on "co-pays" vs "co-Insurance." He has a co-insurance of 20%. He paid $40.00 per visit as an approximate amount of his "overall" balance. This was explain to him he started care at our office. He completely understood and agreed with our payment policy. He was a patient at this office for approximately 2 years. During this time he was seen at least 18 times. This only became an issue when we dismissed him for a Violation of State Mandidated Policy. I can not go into this any further due to privacy. I will state again, this was NEVER an issue until a few weeks after we dismissed him. He called the office numerous times begging to come back to the office for care/treatment. Only after he realized we could not/would not allow him back into the practice did he demand a refund. This matter is closed. I will not address this any further. Our office handled at least 5 very lengthly phone calls with this person.
