Ms*** came into our facility on 4-14-requesting that her spark plugs be changed Upon her request we replaced her plugs with hAutolight high performance spark plugs Approximately weeks after the repair, on 4-28-17, Ms*** returned to our shop with a
drive-ability concernWe checked the codes and found several engine timing codesWe informed Ms*** that the diagnostic revealed a commonly known product issue with that specific year and make of engineThis issue is well documented in the auto repair industry and involves the oil pump supply for the power lubrication of the motorBasically, the motor starves for proper oil pressure and causes the motor to run roughMs*** was not happy with what the scanner indicated and with the information I provided her with and blamed the problem on the spark plugs and left the shop The last time I saw Ms*** was on 5-5-and on that day she spoke with me regarding her concerns As a show of good faith and in an attempt to keep our customer satisfied, I flushed the motor and replaced the plugs again with OEM plugs at no additional cost to Ms***. I explained to her that if she thought there was any thing we did wrong to please go get a second opinion, and if we were found at fault I would pay the bill That was the last time I spoke with her. I'm not the one to blame and I was on her side the whole time, my technician is an ASE Master Tech, and the car is a stock Mustang which we are perfectly capable of working on. Our shop has never and will never take advantage of a female as Ms*** has falsely claimed. We are a family run business and pride ourselves providing the best auto repair to all of our customers. Claiming that we ripped her off because she is female is simply a fraudulent ploy used as an attempt for reimbursement for services provided. It has become more common in the automotive industry that customers accuse honest hardworking shops of cheating them due to the fear tactics used by the media and news against the few shops that actually do rip off and lie to their customers. Menifee Transmission has never ripped off our customers. We maintain a loyal customer base who appreciates the hard work and honesty we provide
