In response to the complaint from *** *** ***, I have attached a copy of her lease which will be referenced In paragraph SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT, it provides for a month fee for subletting or assignment In *** ***'s case, the landlord actually allowed for a full
termination of her lease, therefore, per paragraph CANCELLATION BY TENANT IN INITIAL TERM: BReason within Tenant control: the lease provides that "other expenses incurred by the Landlord/Agent" can be charged to the tenant (underlined for your review) I have also attached the requirements under Maryland State law that requires the testing of lead paint for every new tenant We had the property tested before she moved in, and because she moved out before the end of her lease term, the landlord was legally required to have the property tested again with an expense that would not have been necessary again under the terms of her lease If further clarification is needed, please call me.
