Review: A $1,400.00 mattress purchased in 2008 was replaced under warranty in 2011 the new [redacted] Plush replacement is now defective. I have been in contact with [redacted] since January of 2014, he referred me directly to the manufacturer which referred me back to **. [redacted] because it is still under warranty and he is still in business. I have all the original paperwork/receipts for the first mattress and have supplied **. [redacted] with copies. After completing and returning a warranty form he mailed to us & many phone calls, **. [redacted] finally came to our home to inspect our mattress and agreed it needs to be replaced. After more calls from us ( I have some of them logged) it was March when he told us we could come down and pick a new mattress out. However, my mother in law was then hospitalized and it was two weeks later when we were able to call him to make sure he would be there. He then informed us there was more paperwork to be completed as well as photos that needed to be taken - he would forward them to us to make the process quicker. It is now April 15th, we have not gotten the paperwork nor have we heard from him since my husband called last week demanding to know why we haven't gotten it. He informed us he was trying to complete the paperwork himself to save us the hassle, but no one has come for photos nor have we heard from him. I sincerely suspect he is deliberately pushing us off because he does not want to stand behind this warranty or take the time to go through the required process. He has reminded us numerous times that he is "semi-retired".Desired Settlement: Since this is the second time we have had a problem with this mattress brand, we would prefer a refund. However, knowing that is not possible under the warranty, we will be satisfied with a new replacement mattress of our choice and will insist on a new receipt with a new warranty. The price I am quoting is the price of the original mattress purchase. I do not know the price of the [redacted] Plush replacement - but it was replaced in 2011, which is the purchase date I am listing.
