Review: Years ago, MER did work on a house I bought. The previous owner paid for the work and the purchase price of the house was adjusted to reflect the cost of the work done. Soon after purchase of the house, 4 years after I moved in, the basement leaked and ruined my property. MER failed to do the work properly and refused to honor the warranty. They were going to charge me to put things right and charge for a new sump pump 4 years after they installed it. They also installed a window tap that failed and the wanted to charge me for this. It cost me $7,000 to have the work done right since now the flooding was quite extensive and the original work was not done properly as told to me by the new waterproofer and a neighbor told me allegedly that this company did work for him and he would never hire them again. I would never hire them and any work done by them is suspect. Their warranty is worthless.Desired Settlement: A partial settlement would be satisfactory, but I do not expect it

This is in response to the [redacted]. We have tried to get in touch with this lady and only once were we successful. The address she has provided on the complaint is an apartment complex where we have never performed any work. When [redacted] spoke to her she gave another address and name and still no record of it. She was going to call [redacted] back on Monday June 23, 2014 with the paper work so that [redacted] could go and see her about correcting the problem. We have called numerous times and she will not answer. She clearly has the wrong company because if this was a legit case she would have called and we could have made things right. Please let us know what needs to be done from here.

Review: Morrison Waterproofing installed a drainage system and sump pump in our basement in 2003. Water again came into the basement in 2009. They came out and stated the water came from a different and source and required additional work. We had them perform the additional waterproofing and paid additional money. Water again came into the basement in 2014 directly through the waterproofing system installed with the 2009 additional work. They advised that the 2009 had no warranty and that they would charge to fix or repair their work that failed. When asked why there was no warranty, "[redacted]" stated "I don't know, that's just the way it is." When asked whether all of their work has some type of warranty? [redacted] stated, "No, we do a lot of work that has no warranty." When further asked how would a person know to ask for a warranty? [redacted] stated, "I don't have time for this. I am very busy, goodbye" and hung-up the telephone.Desired Settlement: We would like to be reimbursed for an appropriate amount to offset costs to fix the failed waterproofing system installed in 2009.
