The original repair was performed on 2/27/2014 which was a product update to install a new interlock lever to the ignition...
lock to keep the key from being removed while out of park. During this repair the Ignition cylinder is not removed. The problem with the ignition cylinder that is being experienced now is from wear due to normal usage and time.
I have contacted Honda and asked for assistance in replacing the ignition cylinder lock for Mr. [redacted] and was given authorization for the following, American Honda will provide the ignition cylinder lock, Merced Honda will install the ignition cylinder lock and Mr.[redacted] will be required to pay a $50.00 deductible toward the cost of the repair. I have called Mr.[redacted] and left messages asking him to call me to discuss this proposal and I have not received a return call yet.
