Mercedes Benz of Burlington Reviews (11)

To Whom it might concern,Our Company takes Great Pride in TransparencyAll (Charges/Fee's/Pricing/Etc) are clearly visible and printed on all documents for the client to review prior to purchasing or servicing a vehicle.I was wal [redacted] through the showroom and stopped in to say hi and thank her for coming into the dealership, she then decided to yell and scream at me and call me names, take in to account this is someone I just meet about seconds prior(as you can imagine I'm at a lose for words) I discussed this Fee with the client, and stated that this fee is allowed in MA and that I could not remove it just for her and that I have yet to see a dealership that doesn't have itBut, we did however discount the vehicle for her to try and make her happyShe continued to act inappropriately, so I asked her to calm down and treat me and our team-members with respectI told her if she can't do that she would need to leave the buildingWhen she was done ma [redacted] a scene, she apologized to [redacted] (Sales Person) for her behavior and purchased the vehicle. We take great pride in what our clients think of us which is viewable on Social Media and Review sites.Let me know how I can help[redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] [The business response is just a re-hash of previously failed solution, only acceptable response must include replacement of defective wheel(s), once again omitted from business responseAs stated previously, road force testing and wheel straightening did not resolve the problem, as confirmed by independent tire expertsAdding a second or even third (see below) layer of DUCT tape is NOT a viable solution. It is well known that out-of-round wheels can cause numerous issues with adjacent components (rotors, rods, cambers etc) via excessive vibration and will never regain original wheel strength even after straighteningBusiness has made claim that vehicles with run-flat, low profile tires are more susceptible to wheel damage, this actually can be refuted, as run-flat tires by design are made to be stronger and more rigid on the tire sidewall, thus reducing impact on the below rimPlease note, vehicle prior was a C class with run-flat tires and never had a problem over the same roads and conditions, in fact this vehicle definitely drove smoother at return to dealership that the current up-scaled vehicle runs out of dealership. As alluded to previous, not only did the last effort to repair the wheel fail after delivery, but pre-delivery there was a noted issue with this vehicles wheel/tires as noted in the dealers own provided CARFAX vehicle report, thus appears this problem existed long ago and was either not addressed or repair failureWhen report was questioned prior to purchase, assured that problem was corrected and was probably only cosmetic.(?) With all due respect, completely mystified why dealership will just not due the right thing upfront, as I cannot believe that the costs and resources expended previously and proposed going forward would not cover the expense of replacing the wheel(s) the first time, never mind the cost of loss of good will.Note: Business response included reference to last conversation, but should be noted that conversation was not completed and business did not complete stated call back for completion. As proposed, I will never be 100% satisfied and will always be looking over my shoulder for the next problem. Please, lets just get this resolved smartly and fairly.] Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below [redacted] told me that the "documentation Preparation Fee" was a Massachusetts State Fee" which they were obligated to charge me.That is a misrepresentation of the fee. There was no transparency hereThe owner of the dealership [redacted] agreed with me on this factHe apologized re: misrepresentation and told me that his salesmen "needed to work on that" re: ma [redacted] that fee represented correctly. On Febuary 29, [redacted] published an article on-line which stated that the undersecretary in the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, [redacted] stated the following:"We found that many car dealerships are charging consumers exorbitant fees for costs that are negligible and in some cases telling car buyers these are required charges by state or federal law, which isn't true.""Generally "documentation preparation" fees are not revealed until the final stages of a negotiation over the price of an automobile. The Office of Consumer Affairs advises consumers to make these fees part of the negotiation process and to bargain with a dealer to take the fees off the final agreed upon price."Mr [redacted] is continuing to misrepresent here as he states that the dealership "gave me a discount"That "discount" is called "negotiation of the price"Nothing special (discount) was done on my account.I am owed the $which was a misrepresented and unfair fee Regards, [redacted]

The fees are clearly broken down on the documents. (which is transparent)They are clearly labeled on the purchase agreement and the final purchase agreement done in the business office.A Documentation Fee is not abnormal, in-fact, is common in the Automotive business. If the client didn't agree with the charges she didn't have to purchase the vehicle.Mercedes-Benz of Burlington and it's team-members have done nothing wrong and will not be reimbursing for the Doc Fee

To Whom It May Concern, I spoke to Mr*** and agreed to review his concern when he brought his vehicle in for the snow tire removal in the springI agreed to repair any out of tolerance conditions as needed at that time so I anticipate this visit in March or AprilIf he'd prefer to come
in prior to the snow tire removal (which I had agreed to do free of charge saving him $in the process) I am happy to move that forward at his convenience. Most Sincerely,*** ***Managing Partner*** x ***

[Again, sounds like more of the same. Not sure what is meant by "swapping a set of wheels after confirmed no problem exists"?I certainly have no issue with making myself and car available to remedy the situation, which is all I wanted from the very beginning; but only on condition that whatever the proposed solution, I retain the right, at my expense, to have the result verified for industry compliance  by an independent tire/wheel expert of my choice, prior to acceptance, thus justifying my additional (one week plus) time expended on this same issue . This obviously should not be of a concern with the dealerships confidence of the work/solution being performed successfully. P.S., have never asked for, or expected, any indiscriminate or any other monies. Regards.]

Dear Mr. [redacted],As I stated previously I'm more than happy to resolve your concern. I need you and your car here to do that. Refuting that low profile run-flat tires are more susceptible to damage is inaccurate as you wouldn't be experiencing a problem now if that were the case. What is fact is that we repair, straighten or refinish between 25-50 wheels each week... it's a problem, but the good news is that it's correctable and we are happy to do this for you at our expense. I am even willing to swap a full set of wheels off of another car after you've driven the car to determine no problems exist. Please let me know a convenient time to address this for you. I am going on record that we are willing to remedy your concern and are unwilling to issue any form of a indiscrimiate lump sum payment. Respectfully,[redacted]

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below. The document preparation fees were misrepresented to me from the salesman [redacted].He said that they were "state of Massachusetts fees". The fees would go to the state of Massachusetts. That comment was misrepresentation of the fees collected. He was committing misrepresentation and fraud in a business transaction. That is illegal.MGL: 93ASection 2. (a) Unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce are hereby declared unlawful.
