Company's response below:From: [redacted] [redacted] >Date: Thu, Jul 30, at 8:AMSubject: ID [redacted] To: [redacted] Cc: [redacted] > Revdex.com of Northeast Florida & Southeast AtlanticBeach Blvd Suite 202Jacksonville, FL RE: ID # [redacted] To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in response to Mr [redacted] ’s complaint ID # [redacted] against Mercedes Benz of Gainesville regarding the claim of damage to the purchase of a Certified Pre-Owned [redacted] on 4/21/ Mr [redacted] who lives in [redacted] worked with the sales team at Mercedes Benz of Gainesville to purchase the car and subsequently came to [redacted] to finalize the dealWhen Mr [redacted] arrived and completed a thorough inspection of the vehicle he noted that there was some minor cosmetic issues that he wanted addressed Since the customer lived outside the area, rather than fixing the issues at no cost to Mr [redacted] , Mercedes offered a monetary concession of $towards the purchase price of the vehicleMr [redacted] indicated that would not be enough and both parties agreed on a $discounted purchase price of the carSeveral weeks after taking delivery of the vehicle Mr [redacted] contacted the [redacted] at Mercedes Benz of Gainesville with his complaint regarding issue with the rear exhaust tips[redacted] explained to Mr [redacted] that he himself had performed a thorough inspection prior to taking delivery and made no additional mention of concerns at that time At this point there is no assurance to Mercedes Benz of Gainesville that the supplemental issue in question was on the vehicle at the time of sale It is important to note this vehicle is a Certified Pre-Owned and came with a clean [redacted] report indicating no accidents In order for a vehicle to be considered Certified and sold as such it goes through a thorough inspection by a Mercedes Benz Certified technician and meets specific criteria according to Mercedes Benz ***The vehicle that Mr [redacted] purchased VIN # [redacted] a [redacted] met the criteria to be sold as certified and was thoroughly inspected by the customer prior to saleMercedes Benz of Gainesville values their customers and makes every attempt to remedy issues if they arise, however, under these circumstances there is no certainty that there was additional damage on the car at time of sale.Sincerely, [redacted]
