Mercedes-Benz of Morristown Reviews (2)

Review: I recently got my Service B done on my 2009 C300 Mercedes at the 75K Mark with the Morristown Dealership. The dealership informs me that my front brakes and rooters need to be changed and gives me a quote for it. I decide to get a price quote from a local mechanic.

I go to two different mechanics and find out that

a. My Front Brakes don't need to be changed as they are at 70%

b. It's my rear brake and possibly my break caliber box that needs to be changed as one brake is at 90% and other at 20%

I have always been getting my service from the Morristown dealership and according to both the other mechanics this was an issue that could have been caught over a period of multiple services and something that was not just overlooked at one service but multiple services.

I took it back to the dealership, hoping they can at-least look at it again, tell me it was their fault and give me a plan of how they will ensure that this does not happen again and these are the exact words of the Assistant Manager, Nelson, "Our mechanic looked at one side of the brakes which were at 90% and didn't check the other side"

The problem is that they charged me over and over again for servicing and inspection for my entire car and not just one side of the brakes and this could have been an issue that should have been caught multiple services ago and not something I find out when I by chance end up going to a different mechanic.

The delership didnt even catch an issue over multiple services and yet charged me for a through servicing.Desired Settlement: I would like to get refunded for all my services done with the dealership from the 40K mark till the current 75K miles.

This issue could have been caught much earlier so I didnt have to redo my brake pads entirely and change the caliber much in advance.

Review: On 09/22/2014 I purchased a new, 2014 Mercedes E550, Contract No. [redacted] from this dealer. They charged me $1,530.90 for DMV Fees, plus $249.00 for Clerical and Delivery Service Fees. At the time I explained that I had extensive knowledge of the DMV fees for my state, [redacted] and that the amount they were charging was well over TWICE what the correct fee would be. I ask them, as I had numerous times before to let me handle my own DMV paperwork, but they refused, saying that any amount I was overcharged would be "promptly" refunded back to me. After nearly four months with no refund, I started emailing and leaving voice mails for them. By this time I had received my Registration from the [redacted] DMV showing the correct amount for the fees was $588.00 meaning they had overcharged me, and owed me a refund of $942.90. Eventually they refunded me $640.50. When I inquired about the additional $302.40 still owed they claimed they had had to pay the State of [redacted] additional processing fees. I told them that was not possible as I no they only paid the $588.00. Their next "story" was that they had paid an "outside" company $250.00 for the "extra processing", with no explanation as to where the additional $52.40 went? I explained that I had signed a contract agreeing to certain "clerical, processing and delivery" charges (the $249.00 referenced above) and that my understanding of the law was that they could not simply "add" charges to my contract simply because they had forced me to overpay the correct amount due. You can look on their [redacted] page to read about an additional $4,000.00 plus they also tried to cheat me out of thru a buying program with [redacted] Someone needs to look into the business practices of this dealership, and of course I'd like my $302.40 refunded, plus I really feel they should refund the $249.00 in processing fees they charged as a penalty for messing this up so poorly.Desired Settlement: See above, I'd like my $302.40 plus the $249.00 which they charged for doing the paper work but clearly did not do correctly.
