Review: They call my phone number every two days - asking for someone who bought a Mercedes from them - and that person has since changed their phone number. I have that phone number. Despite my telling them to take me off their calling list because that person does not have this number - I've told them at least 8 times and have spoke to a manager at least 2 times. They keep on calling. I do not know of any other way to get them to stop calling.Desired Settlement: Please have them stop calling me

Review: On March **, 2013, I purchased a certified pre-owned 2010 [redacted] GL 450. The dealer had represented that this vehicle had not been in any previous accidents as was indicated on the Carfax report. However, when I switched my auto insurance policy in July my new insurance agent found two collision claims that were paid out in 2010; one on 2/**/10 for $11,374 and the other on 6/**/10 for $4,134. I contacted the dealer upon discovering this information and spoke to the pre-owned sales manager, [redacted]. He then referred me to Carfax and put the blame on Carfax. However, Carfax does not guarantee that all accidents get reported to them. I find it really hard to believe that the dealer had no knowledge of these accidents especially since the prior owner was [redacted] (aka [redacted]) as this was a previously leased vehicle. My insurance agent confirmed for me that since this vehicle was previously leased, [redacted] was named as the "Loss Payee" on the leasee's insurance policy and therefore would have been notified of any collision claims paid out. Additionally, [redacted] claims they performed a rigorous inspection of the vehicle as part of the certification process. If this is the case then I also find it hard to believe that the mechanics would not have noticed that there was substantial body work performed on this vehicle as the first claim was a pretty sizable amount. After talking to [redacted] and Carfax, I contacted [redacted] Benz USA and a case manager was assigned to me. His name was [redacted] and he was supposed to represent me against [redacted]. We did not get very far. According to [redacted], [redacted] wanted to get me a complimentary detail. This, to me, is insulting as I would not have purchased the vehicle had I known about these two accidents. One reason being concern for the safety of my small children and the second reason being that the value of the car was overstated. As a female, I feel completely taken advantage of by the dealership and insulted that neither, the dealership nor corporate would try their best right the situation.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $5,500 which includes the certified pre-owned inspection costs ($1,800), the cost of the extended limited warranty that I purchased ($2,500) and the cost of the pre-paid maintenance ($1,200). I also want to be guaranteed that I will not have to put another dime into my vehicle for any repairs or maintenance for as long as I own the vehicle. My request is not unreasonable considering the $48,000 that I paid for this vehicle that I would not have purchased and the fact that my resale value of this vehicle is now impacted because of the knowledge of these accidents.

Review: I have leased several cars from Mercedes Benz starting with a 2011 E-class. I now lease a 2014 C-class. I received a charge from MBrace and called to find out it's origin. I was told by a MBrace representative that it involved the 2011 E-class I had returned from lease over 2 years ago. I was shocked that though I had returned the vehicle I was still being charged for MBrace services related to that vehicle. I was told by the MBrace representative that MBrace is a separate company and I should have cancelled the service myself. The representative agreed to credit me this current charge but I was told any other charges would require a written request to be credited. My issues are:1. My credit card information was initially taken by my Mercedes Benz salesman and given to MBrace and I assumed it was the same company or at least a subsidiary.2. I was never informed I needed to cancel my MBrace subscription myself even when I leased another vehicle from Mercedes.3. When I asked the MBrace representative if the address for MBrace was present on-line, He directed me to the Mercedes Benz website and told me to click on the MBrace link. Again this is a clear indication, to me, of Mecedes Benz and MBrace relationship that would lead one to assume they are one and the same.Desired Settlement: One: I would like a refund of all MBrace charges related to my 2011 E-class after I returned it that have not been refunded to date.Second: I would like Mercedes to institute an automatic cancellation of MBrace services when any Mercedes Vehicle, leased or otherwise, are returned to them.Thank you.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Review: On October **, 2013 I received an invitation for a private specials event from MB of White Plains since I have been leasing cars from them for over 10 years. One ad offered a 2013 GLK350 with Premium Package loaner with 3,000+ miles for $249 per month for a two-year lease with a $2,000+ down payment plus tax and DMV fees. When I came to the dealership I was told that it was for another, cheaper car with NO Premium Package. I test drove the car I came for (the one with the PP) and loved it. The agent ([redacted]) told me it was higher and quote a much higher monthly with a much higher downpayment saying all the time that they had not advertised the car for $249 with a Premium Package. I had dealt with the business for over 10 years and trusted them. I could not bring up the ad on my IPhone, the agent told me she did not know the password for their Wi-fi. I signed the papers for a costlier deal and took possession of the vehicle. When I came home I decided to look at the ad again and saw that it WAS with a Premium package. I emailed [redacted] and informed her about the ad. Two hours later she left a message on my voice mail saying they had made a mistake in the ad and they corrected it now. No Premium Pacakge. I emailed the sales manager Mr. [redacted] asking for an explanation and to give me the deal they had avertised. He called me back saying the same as [redacted] had said. At some point, he said my car's MSRP was $45,000 and I got a terrific deal. Their site advertises a brand new 2014 GLK350 with a Premium Package for a little over $40,000. SO I tild Mr. [redacted] there was no way my car, a second-hand car, could cost more than the brand new 2014 mode with the same paclage. To which he denied that he had named the price of $45,000 for my car. At this point, I decided that it was no use to pursue the issue with the business any longer. To protect future clients I decided to turn to BB for help in resolving this issue and registering my complaint. Please, register this complaint and help me resolve it.Desired Settlement: I would like the MB of White Plains to base my lease on their original ad by which they had enticed me to come to the dealership. And give me the check for the difference.

Response:

The client visited our store in response to an email he received from us, highlighting a lease special on the 2013 GLK350 4matic with the Stock #[redacted] and a MSRP of $39,995. The description of the vehicle in the ad included a P01 package as part of the equipment. Once he inquired about this specific vehicle, our sales person [redacted] clarified that our advertising agency made a mistake and while the advertised vehicle IS available at the advertised price of $249 per month it IS NOT equipped with a P01 package. The client proceeded to test drive and subsequently purchase a different vehicle with the stock #[redacted] and a MSRP of $44,315. While we honored the same discount for the vehicle he purchased, the customer’s monthly payment is higher than the advertised price due to the difference in MSRPs / equipment between the 2 vehicles , the fact that he opted not to put down any cap cost reduction as indicated in the ad and the inclusion of a pre-paid maintenance plan. We made the customer aware of the differences between the 2 vehicles and explained the impact on his monthly payment. He accepted our offer, signed all the necessary paperwork and took delivery of a vehicle that is over $4,000 more expensive than the one that was advertised by us.

Response:

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your purchase.

I have reviewed the ad in question as well as your purchase. We definitely did have a typographical error in the ad and it should not have listed the vehicle with Premium 1 package. Having said that the MSRP of the vehicle as listed in the ad was $39,995 (a price that could only be a non-Premium 1 car).

The vehicle you purchased included not only the Premium 1 (coded by Mercedes-Benz as Q01 for $2050), but also metallic paint ($720), Becker Map Pilot and Pre-wiring (total $800) and heated seats ($750) for a total MSRP on your car of $44,315. I can provide a copy of your vehicles window sticker if needed.

The ad also required the following cash due at signing: $999 cap cost reduction, $1095 acquisition fee, $249 first months payment (total $2343) plus taxes and DMV fees. This lease calculation is based on 10,000 miles/year.

In reviewing your lease, not only is the MSRP of the vehicle higher, but you also chose not to put the initial $999 as a down payment, you also chose to pre-pay your maintenance for 2 years. All of these factors added to the increased monthyl payment that you agreed to.

We realize that you have been a long-time customer, we are willing to provide a refund as a goodwill gesture in the amount of $1000 to close this case, if accepted by you. Please notify me directly at ###-###-####.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have reviewed the MBWP response to my complaint. While I am ready to accept the proposed offer of $1,000 from MBWP to me, I cannot accept the mode of communication proposed by the business. There is no name or position attached to the phone number and extension provided in the response. I also feel I should not be the one to call MB. However, I will talk to an authorized representative if and when they call me (they know my name) at the number they have on their file. I must add that I will not discuss this matter or any other matter with Mr. [redacted] because of the unacceptable way he talked with me on the phone regarding this issue. Other than that, I would be prepared to close the matter on the terms offered by the business when they have called me and after I am satisfied by our discussion over the phone. The best time to reach me is any week day 1-2pm.
