The mechanic is working on the car and it should be fixed soon. Is is not fair to the mechanic to say that this is unresolved since work is now being done.[redacted]

Review: I had my car towed to MV Services and explained that the car will randomly start then not start. I explained that the car cranks fine but does not START with any regularity. Also at times my car will start without hesitation. [redacted] looked at the car and gave me an estimate of approximately $650.00 to replace the fuel pump. [redacted] stated the car needed a fuel pump and he could start the car every time by putting fuel in the carburetor but when the fuel burned out the car would not start. I explained to [redacted] that I am not working at the time and my only income is from Unemployment Compensation. I explained that I needed to wait for a weekly deposit to the account before I could come up with that amount. [redacted] stated he would prefer the amount in cash. On Wednesday December 18th I came to MV Services and paid the amount in cash. My car drove fine when I left the lot but later that night the dash displayed a message that my fuel cap was loose. I pulled over and made sure to tighten the cap and the message disappeared for awhile. It reappeared and then the check engine light came on! They were not on when the car was brought in. I left a message for [redacted] regarding the new issues with the car. He did not return my call. I was not able to purchase a new fuel cap due to the [redacted] on Chamberlayne Ave does not carry this and they referred me to [redacted] which was on the other side of town. I was scheduled to be out of town on December 19th and 20th. I took my daughter and her family shopping at [redacted] Thursday night and the car did not start again when we returned from the store. I called my friend [redacted] who lives nearby and asked her if she could take us home. She was able to take us to my daughter's house in 2 trips as we had my 3 month old grandson in his car seat, my daughter, her husband and my 15 year old grandson. I called [redacted] and let him know the car was in [redacted] parking lot and he could call [redacted] to meet and get the key. [redacted] stated she could meet him at the [redacted] on Midlothian Turnpike near the [redacted]. She stated she waited but [redacted] never showed up and she returned to work. [redacted] told [redacted] they were closing early Friday at 4PM I returned from my bus trip approximately 11:45PM on Friday and my car was still in the parking lot of [redacted] told [redacted] he had contacted the tow truck driver and the driver would call her but that never happened. [redacted] and I talked to each other regularly and [redacted] did not return our calls, or have a tow truck driver call either of us. [redacted] told [redacted] to have the tow truck driver call her anytime this weekend. That never happened. I called [redacted] Monday morning to get a status on my car and he stated the tow truck driver was out of town. I told him my car was sitting in [redacted] parking lot and I am stranded for the holiday when he could have picked my car up on Friday and had the work done today! Finally [redacted] left me a message today, Monday at 2:30 that the driver would call [redacted] when he returned from towing another vehicle from out of town! [redacted] had not contacted the tow truck driver who stated to [redacted] that he was not aware of my car needing a tow until today! He told [redacted] that he would be back in town at 2AM! [redacted] and I and our families have been terribly inconvenienced and I am out $650.00 with no way to spend time with my family for the Christmas holiday. [redacted] disregarded the customer satisfaction, accurate repair and timely response to customer calls for help due his misdiagnosis of my car.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund or partial refund for the work being completed accurately!

I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he stated that the consumer had the car towed there because it wouldn't start. He took a look at the car and determined the fuel pump need to be replaced. He told the consumer and the consumer agreed to have the repair. After the pump was repaired the consumer called and stated that she did not have the money right now for the repair. [redacted] said that it was about a week and half until she came to pay and pick up the car. After about 2 days the consumer called and stated that she was at [redacted] and the car wouldn't start again. [redacted] called a tow company but there was some miscommunication between him, the consumer and the tow company. [redacted] called his tow company and they picked up the consumer's car and towed it to the shop. [redacted] said that a piece had broken off of the fuel pump and he replaced it and the consumer drove off fine. He stated that he has been trying to contact the consumer about a recent repair and he still has the keys and has been trying to return them to the consumer.

Hello,

Review: I am having difficulty getting a mechanic to finish the work on a [redacted] that I have paid him for. Since approx 2005 he had been my mechanic on this car. However, the car has been sitting in his shop for approx 4 years now. After paying two thousand dollars ($2000) over a period of a year, he said that he would take care of it. I worked out of town for a year and when I returned, no work had been done on the car. Not in a rush, I started to get concerned after the tires were allowed to go flat. Last year I stared making more frequent inquiries and the response was always "next week" or "its close to turning over" or call me on Wednesday or similar. This summer I started going by there every week asking and getting the same run a round. The battery died and he "replaced" it but the cable is unplugged, tons of dust. Very frustrated since the owner Rick who I am having this problem with was doing a great job of maintaining the engine prior to Oct 2010 when I dropped it off. I thought we had a good relationship but now I am not sure what to think. Your help would be appreciated.Desired Settlement: -1 Finish the engine work on the car so that it is is running order for the price paid, or

-2 Refund the $2000 paid and I will remove the car by tow truck,

And

-1 Pay for any damaged caused by neglecting the car for four years (tires if flat spots from sitting, oil, fuel, hoses, battery, etc)

Review: On May 17, 2013, I left my car at the service center for A/C repairs. The work done included: freon-N; a/c part N; A/C compressor; receiver drier; and a v-belt. The cost for all repairs was $1,452.92. After three days the a/c was not working. The car was taken back for repairs on June 5 (after three calls to the center and no reply from [redacted]), I drove by the center to see what should be done and I was told the warranty items would be replaced and an aux.fan was needed. This work was done on June 5. It was done at and I picked up the car on June 7, the cost this time was $498.99. Within the 2 to 3 miles back to my home, the unit was not cooling the car. I stopped at the Wells Fargo Bank and had a stop payment placed on the $498.99. The car is still without a/c and I am requesting that the original amount of $1,452.92 be returned as the work was not done and the a/c does not work. Please advise as soon as possible as I would like to get the a/c working before the very hot months of July and August. [redacted]Desired Settlement: As indicated above, the last check has been placed on stop payment. The original charge of $1,452.92 is requested as a refund so I can take the car to another repair shop and get the air working before the very hot days of summer.
