I met these folks about a building and was asked about removing an existing building that had a small amount of items in there. They were supposed to get a container or storage unit to place the items in. They were also supposed too assist in removal. Instead, they had three of my workers spend two...

days hauling the original items plus items from other buildings (too include junk like broken tile) to a trailer 10-15 miles away with my truck and trailer. Even though I explained to them that I would have other folks do the tear down, the older gentleman had a fit and ran off the quote unquote "Mexicans" that I spent days lining up for the job. When I reminded them that we only had a short time frame to complete their project, he continued to find reasons to complain. I don't know how their real estate business stays in business. They defaulted on the job and threatened to sue my wife and son (she's a nurse who has nothing to do with my business and he's a college kid that helps part time). My son and I made numerous trips to meet these folks plus labor moving their junk. I understand now why he told me that his old contractor didn't work for him anymore. I lost money dealing with these people. I have tons of references but it's impossible to satisfy everyone because if you think about it, list 100 people that you know and most are good, some are greedy or grouchy, and some are [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because:We did receive their assistance moving the items out of the storage unit and agreed to pay $300 for that service which HE AGREED to. There assistance was one day's worth of activity. He had agreed to start on the job and have it completed by the end of July; however, they were weeks delayed in coming to start on the job. When finally someone arrived, it was a guy that had a child in the back seat of his car that was going to remain in very hot weather while he did the demo. We did not call them by any derogatory names. He did. My husband said that was not acceptable. We requested that he come to discuss the project which never happened. Finally, we demanded our money back. I have numerous texts where he promises to return the money along with excuses as to why he was delayed. His son was brought into the situation because he was a witness to all discussions. Wife, as well, because if we get a judgment, her property rights will be affected as well.
